Unexpected Surprise Chapter 37 (Skyelo)
At ELQ, Tracy's office — Tracy was sitting at her desk when Ned entered. "So, Mother, it looks like you finally have what you always wanted, ELQ," Ned said. "Well, AJ and Michael don't want it, and when Skye finds out the truth, her ELQ stock will go back into the family," Tracy replied. "You're so glad that Skye isn't a Quartermaine, aren't you?" Ned asked. "I was at first, but it's killing my brother," Tracy admitted. "Yes, it is. Alan loved Skye. When the truth comes out, and after Skye cools off, you know she's still going to be a member of the family," Ned said. "I know. I just want ELQ for myself, which I finally have," Tracy said as Edward entered. "Daddy," Tracy greeted. "Tracy, we need to talk about the charity your mother used to run," Edward said. "I know I haven't run it in a while, but I will," Tracy replied. "You don't need to worry about that anymore; I'm giving it to Skye," Edward announced. "Daddy, why would you do that?" Tracy asked. "Your mother loved Skye and would want Skye to run it. Now, I know this secret—that Skye is a Cassadine. I still don't believe it, but I don't care. I will decide who will run the charity. You finally got what you always wanted, Tracy—ELQ," Edward said. "Alright, Daddy, I will let it go," Tracy replied. "Good. I hope you're happy here. This can't give you everything you need. You need a man who loves you, Tracy," Edward said. "I've never been one who needs a man," Tracy responded. "No," Edward said and left. "Grandfather is right. Mother, this can't keep you happy," Ned said and left. "Yes, it can," Tracy said, sitting back down at the desk. Nearby, Skye was in her bedroom opening a box that Adam left her. She looked inside and pulled out some paperwork. Just as she was about to read, Rae entered. "Skye," Rae said. "Mother, how was your first day?" Skye asked, putting the paperwork on the bed. "Good. How are you feeling?" Rae asked. "Great. Edward picked me to run Grandmother's charity," Skye said. "That's great, Skye," Rae said. "Thanks. I'm finally getting the respect from the Quartermaines that I want," Skye added. "Yes," Rae agreed. Skye's phone rang. "I have to take this," Skye said and stepped away to answer the call. Rae picked up the paperwork, looked at it, and put it in her purse as Skye returned. "Is everything okay?" Rae asked. "I think so. Lorenzo will be late. Do you want to go out to dinner?" Skye asked. "I would love to," Rae replied. Skye and Rae left together. At General Hospital, Edward was in a room when Patrick was observing him. "So, how is the cancer?" Edward asked. "Not good. Have you told your family yet?" Dr. Drake asked. "No. I want to make sure they are going to be okay first," Edward answered. "I know, but they are going to miss you. They need time to say goodbye," Dr. Drake said. "I know. Thanks for keeping it a secret," Edward said. "You're my patient; it's part of my job," Dr. Drake replied.
