Ari looked out the window excitedly as she saw the rain start to pour. She loved rain.
"Davey it's raining!" She said, excitement filling her voice. She had been invited by Les to eat dinner at the Jacobs' house. Davey laughed.
"Yes I'm aware." Ari began looking around for her shoes. "What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm going to go outside," she proclaimed.
"What!? Ari you can't go outside it's pouring!" Davey said. He didn't mind the rain, but when it was raining he stayed indoors. Simple as that.
"Exactly!" She said. She smiled triumphantly as she found her shoes and began to put them on.
"Ari wait!" He said, putting on his shoes as well. "You can't be serious about this."
"Come on! It'll be fun! I love the rain!" She said, walking out the front door. Davey ran out after her.
"You're the only person I know who actually likes the rain," he said, still having trouble believing that she enjoyed being outside while it was pouring.
"You like the rain too!" She insisted.
"I do not!"
"Then why are you out here?"
"Because I like you."
Ari smiled and blushed. "I like me too."
"Oh shut up!" He said, squinting his eyes as the rain started to run down his face. Suddenly water splashed up at him as Ari jumped into a puddle.
"What are you doing!?" He asked. She giggled before jumping in another puddle.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" She challenged.
"You are crazy. You are actually crazy." Ari stuck her tongue out at him. She took a step towards him and stumbled forward, tripping over a rock that had been submerged underwater. He quickly ran up to her and steadied her. Smiling, he brushed the wet hair out of her eyes. He loved the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy. Without thinking he grabbed her face, leaned forward, and kissed her. Suddenly he realized what he was doing and pulled away.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me, it's just–" he started to ramble.
"Davey!" She said cutting him off.
"I'm really sorry Ari it won't–" Ari cut him off again, this time by returning the kiss. After a few seconds they pulled apart.
"I like you too Davey."

Davey sighed as he handed the lady her paper. He hated having to lie to sell papes. But he needed to. He needed to feed his family.
"Hey," he heard a voice say from behind him. His heart skipped a beat as he turned around and saw Ari.
"Ari! What—what are you doing here?" He asked, surprised to see her.
