It was Sunday morning and I dressed into a running fit because I had to wash soon and it was one of my last outfits. I then grabbed a pink sweater and got ready for my job. I then wrote a note letting my mom know I had work.
I felt so tired and my eyes started getting heavy as I slipped my shoes on.
I was now shivering as I walked in the liquor store.
"Morning Lorenzo" I yell out and my manager walks out smiling and thanks me for coming.
I was now cleaning the counters waiting for customers. I always hated when people come to buy things with it looking all dirty. So I always made sure it looked clean.
"Can I have two packs of cigarettes" a old lady ask and I nod passing it and giving her change back.
It was an hour in when I heard a group of loud people walk in. I always hated when groups came because they were never up to no good.
"Hey Dani" I hear and smile at Jordan.
"I got this one" I tell them and they all thank me and seem to literally grab the whole store. Shake my headdd.
"Also I'm sorry about last time" I tell the guy I pushed.
"It's all cool" he smiles and they soon all ran out laughing at nothing really.
I then checked the time wanting to go to my bed already.
1:12pm it said
"So you cool with Jordan" I then look up to find the guy Carlos.
I knew he was most likely mad that I helped Jordan out when they fought.
"Yeah I am, what would you like" I ask wiping the counter even though I did that a while back already.
"Well can we talk" He ask getting closer to the counter with a smirk.
I felt nervous but didn't let it show a bit.
"Can't, either buy something or go" I sassily say looking up at him and his smile drops.
"You gotta take care that mouth shorty" he laughs slightly and backs up. He then pulled his pants up a bit and looked back at me.
I then let a sigh of relief out and breathe in and out. Jesus he wasn't wrong I was scared one day my mouth would get me in big trouble.
minutes later I then see two guys walk in suspiciously and right behind them was Carlos.
"Now lil mama we gon talk or what" he says walking back in.
I then press the emergency button with my knee and hoped help would come quick.
"Carlos I'm sorry I mean aren't you glad I stopped you from getting into big trouble" I ask and his friends laughed like if I said a joke.
"Nah I don't like when people get in my business" he then walks around the counter inching closer.
Once they heard the cop sirens they run off. Jesus I was surprised they cane all quick they usually take forever. Carlos soon looks back at me to glare and was now off into the alley.
"La PD, what happened" a officer ask
"Check the cameras" I offer and walk out to take a deep breath.
In 35 mins they were off and took the video in. I knew they weren't going to do anything really. That's what I was afraid of, and I knew he'd be back. He'd be way more mad this time too.
I then closed the shop and took the rest of the day off. Lorenzo wanted no more incidents and decided it'd be best if I just went home.
Trust I did not want to walk

Hey can you maybe pick me up; I ask hoping he wasn't busy
Uh where you at; he mumbles
Liquor store; I reply feeling very paranoid
Alejandro she can walk; I hear whispers on the line.
Shhhh I'll be there; he quickly says and soon hangs up.
I felt bad I didn't want to cause problems but I didn't want to walk either. it's been ten minutes already and I was more paranoid by the minute. I soon felt sprinkles hitting my nose and I then put my hoodie in.
"I knew you'd still be here" I then turn to see Jordan.
"Uh hey" I mumble shaking a bit.
"I knew Carlos would come don't worry I was watching and I'm sorry I should of came in but you alright" he ask and I nod.
"Wait so you knew he'd come" I ask hugging myself tighter.
"Yeah I was parked right there" he then points at a car and the lights flash.
"If you want I can take you home plus I needa tell you sumthin" he says and look around one last time and just follow him to his car.
I then hear a honk behind me and I turn to see who I just wanted to be around the most. I felt horrible deep down that I bothered him.
"I'll be back" I yell after Jordan and he gives me a thumbs up walking into his car.
The front door opens and I see Alejandro seated beside the front seat waiting for me.
"I'm so sorry I-"
"It's all cool bestie hop in" he says turning the heater on.
"Actually Ale, Jordan needs to talk to me and I'll explain later" I say and he frowns.
"What a waste of time" I hear a groan and soon I see the girl of the post hop in the front.
"Y'all can talk later c'mon I want you to meet my baby" he smiles
"Go to the back Lily" he says and her mouth drops.
"I'm your girl" she scoffs
"Let's not do this just go to the back" he sighs and she looks at me up an down and jumps to the back.
"No no stay there Jordan has something important to tell me. I'm sorry for making you come" I say and back up slowly and he nods looking away from me. I felt so bad.
"Bye playa" I wave and he smiles softly and sped off.
I then hopped in the car with Jordan and I wish I never did. It was one of my worst mistakes yet.
