❝The normals, they make me afraid

the crazies, they make me feel sane

I manage to get through the dancing bodies and drunk people, although it's tough. I'm not that tall at my 5'3'' and my body is slim. I put on a mean face, ignoring all the jerks that tried to grab my attention and almost punching someone for trying to be too touchy. I might be small and appear harmless, but I can throw a mean punch. All my self-defence classes taught me that.

It's not until I come out and breathe fresh air that I realise how bad the air inside the bar is. It's more of a low budget bar and you can find a lot of people in there. And I mean a lot. That's one of the reasons I decided to take self-defence classes.

I'm not really afraid of assholes. I know how to fight. I carry a knife with me at all times, just in case. That's why I'm not afraid to go after the assholes – one in particular – and stand up against him. What he did wasn't cool and I don't want him to just get away with it.

I hear them before I see them.

"Who even was that chick, man?"

"Fuck if I know. Some rich posh princess who tried to get into my business."

I'm seething. I cross my arms over my chest, getting a good look of the scene. They're walking towards the motorcycles, all five of them and I see them holding a beer in their hands now. I didn't see any of them come to the bar to order a beer, but then again, I wasn't even paying attention to anyone else but just one of them.

"You haven't seen me trying to get into your business, but now you're really going to."

All heads turn around equally fast, all of them wearing surprised expression. Except one. He's amused. I can see it all the way from where I'm standing, the darkness not really hiding that much. "Ah. Princess- Good girls like you shouldn't hang out here. Especially not with us."

I daringly look at him. "Good thing there aren't any good girls here then."

He looks back at the boys as they all chuckle in unison. He turns back to me, shaking his head. He's still laughing. "Don't try to be something you're not just to impress us. Go back inside." He points the chin towards the bar.
