❝ All good boys go to heaven,
but bad boys bring heaven to you ❞
❦
Fai drops me off at Harper's. When I get down from the motorcycle and pull the helmet off, shaking my head, Fai kills the engine. "So, when am I seeing you?" he asks, taking the helmet for me.
I put my hand on his jaw and kiss him. "Whenever you want," I tell him against his lips, opening my eyes to look at his.
I give him a wink before retreating.
He grabs my arms before I can go anywhere. "Kadie, this thing going on between you and me ... what is it?"
"Relax. We're just having some fun, babe." I pull my arm from his grip. "I'll call you," I tell him. I wave at him and send him a kiss before I disappear into the building, running to the apartment.
Harper isn't home yet. The place is idly quiet and I take a moment to throw myself down on the couch with a shit-eating smile on my face.
I get up to make some lunch for Harp when she comes back. And then I settle on the couch with a science book in my hands. I get a message from Fai not that much later.
You still can't go to the bar.
I think this overprotectiveness is absurd and, usually, I'd never let anyone tell me where I can and can't go, but it's different in this case. I kind of like that he cares so much that he takes the effort to keep me safe.
Can you take me to our place then?
I started referring to that place he first took me as our place. I still don't know exactly the address of it or where exactly that is.
Can't tonight, he replies.
Tomorrow then. We can go back to your place afterwards ...
I realise Fai is a quick texter. His response comes in just seconds.
You're working?
Nope.
