Reyna kept her eyes on them skeptically but nodded at Iseki. "Yeah. That'd be great." She whispered. "Um. Can you give us a minute?" She addressed the group with a forced smile before tugging Iseki by the hand to go behind a few trees several feet away and talk.
"Okay. I don't know about you but I could give a rat's ass about the resistance and honestly I want no part of this shit." Iseki whispered. "I'll stick by whatever you wanna do here though. I mean they may have a portal flower but we can't be too sure."
The five from the resistance looked at them quizzically as the two walked off to chat privately. "I still say we need proof." Caleb said frowning earning glares from a couple of the others.
Reyna furrowed her brow at him. He was willing to forego what he wanted to do to stick with her? She didn't understand why. "You're saying if i want to join this resistance you'll stick with me?" She whispered for clarity.
"Well yeah. That's what friends do isn't it?" Iseki whispered seriously. "I'm a kanis doll. Very loyal." He didn't understand what was so unbelievable about him being a good friend. (Has she never had a good friend before?) He wondered.
Reyna couldn't help but blink at him. "That's not what friends do where I'm from." She mumbled. She ran a hand through her hair with frustration and looked at him a minute before she spoke again. "I don't care what blue Bell over there says. I really am not the person they're looking for. And even if I was, I've disappointed enough people in my life without being the face of a revolution. I'm not from here. I want to go home." She whispered with a frown.
"Well then we have two options." Iseki whispered with a nod. "We either just say pass and move on which in turn has the potential to put us in a confrontation with those guys. Or we say sure. Use them to find a portal flower then dip out when no one is looking." He cocked an eyebrow at her in question. "I got your back one way or the other." He smiled to let her know he was serious. Then he had another thought. "Ooh or we could just make a run for it right now and not look back."
Reyna let a slow smile spread across her face with amusement. "Okay. Here's the plan. I'll be somewhat resistant at first to be believable. Then I'll come around or whatever. Agree to help. And then as soon as we find a portal flower we get the fuck out of this place." She looked at him expectantly to see how he felt about her plan.
Iseki nodded. "Good plan. We'll use these desperate fools to get the fuck out of this world and into yours." He agreed with an enthusiastic nod. (I'm really glad you didn't want to fight these guys.) He thought with relief. "You lead I'll follow."
Reyna nodded and squeezed his hand again before letting go of it finally and walking back over to the group of people. "Okay. So I know you guys think that I'm some special lost princess or some shit. But I really don't think I'm who you think I am. It has to all just be a misunderstanding." She reasoned honestly.
Iseki followed after her and nodded at her words. "Sorry to disappoint you guys. Good luck with your rebellion." He added.
"See we're wasting time here listening to the fairy." Caleb said irritably. Suddenly Sylvie moved extremely close to Reyna making Iseki tense up. (Shit fairilten are so strange. There's no telling what she's capable of. I hope she's not easily swayed by a naked woman.) He thought. Sylvie gently put a delicate hand on Reyna's cheek. "You doubt yourself because of the life you have had to live. But that life has given you a strength that you have yet to realize." She said softly with a smile. She put her other hand on Reyna's hip just over her birthmark. "This is so much more than a birthmark. It is the symbol of your family's power and right to the throne."Reyna let the woman touch her and waited until after she spoke before pulling away from her hands. "Look Tinkerbell. I don't doubt myself. I just don't believe you people. I'm not from here. And I'm sorry but I don't really have any stock in this little brat pack rebellion of yours. Or this world. And I'm sure as shit not going to be a good ruler. I can't even keep a plant alive."
