Reyna shrugged a shoulder. "I wasnt asking for an apology. I was a bitch to you because despite whatever you have against kanis, iseki has been good to all of us. Even you. Even after how you treat him he's never raised a hand to you or spoken a bad word about you. And im not expecting you two to be friends. But you can still respect him as a person. Just like he does you. I dont hold you being a red guard against you. Or any of the other shit youve done that i could. I havent forced my command on you to like him. Or to do anything that i want. Ive left the decision up to you out of basic human respect. Were going to have to work together. So the least you can do is put the awful things that happened to you aside and show basic decency to an individual who is deserving." She reasoned plainly. She wanted him to see where she was coming from without emotion getting in the way of it. She doubted it would work. He seemed a lost cause. But she wanted to try since it was just the two of them. Try to make him understand her hostility towards his racism.

Caleb shrugged. "Well it's not going to matter much what I think if Anoch doesn't hurry up with those mounts. We're too out in the open for my tastes."

Suddenly Anoch returned with two big red birds taller than him. "Statement. It would seem anoch can talk to the nogo birds." He said petting the birds.

Reyna smiled at anoch and eyed the birds curiously. "Wow anoch thats amazing." She gushed, standing with new clothes in her hand.

Caleb sighed. "Well. Let's get this done. Who are you riding with?" He asked seriously. (Probably Anoch. Which is fine by me.) He thought.

Anoch looked at Reyna. "Statement. It was you who gave Anoch the ability to speak with them." He said. He appreciated the praise but didn't know how to express that.

Reyna kept a smile on her face at anoch. "Well im glad i could help. But you should still be proud you got em." She reasoned before turning to Caleb. "Im changing clothes. As pretty as this dress is its impractical. I dont care who i ride with you guys can rock paper scissors for all i care." She added with a shrug. She started walking then, intent on only putting one tree between them to change so more bad shit didnt happen.

Caleb put a hand on her shoulder. "Just change here. We'll turn our backs." He reasoned seriously. "To much shit is trying to kill us no need to take any unnecessary risks." (Oh what? Now she's shy?) He thought.

Anoch nodded his agreement and turned his back.

Reyna rolled her eyes. "I was only going behind a tree for crying out loud." She reasoned. She was only trying to be respectful of them. But fine. She stopped and cocked an eyebrow at him before starting to slide the dress off of her shoulders.

Caleb sighed and rolled his eyes. "What's it matter going behind a tree?" He asked as he turned his back to her. "All that does it put distance between us and you that the enemy could use against us. There are rumors of a witch for hire that has teleportation magic. And quite frankly I don't want to test and see if  the king can afford that."

Reyna rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah. I was just trying to be respectful of you two." She reasoned as she took her dress off and stuffed it into her bag. She refrained from sticking her tongue out at him behind his back. What was with all of these overprotective men?

Caleb laughed dryly. "How is that respectful? I mean you hate me and Anoch's kind has all the libido of a dead tree." He pointed out with a smirk.
