Caleb rolled quickly, when he felt someone crash into him, with his sword drawn. He stopped himself from stabbing Reyna when he realized it was her he was now on top of. "What the fuck?" He said breathlessly.
Anoch struggled to keep his face passive and not react.
Reyna giggled and smirked up at him when he was on top of her. "You were gonna try to stab me no matter how i woke you up." She reasoned teasingly with amusement.
Caleb sighed. "A simple calling my name would have sufficed." He said as he sat back on top of her. (Not how she imagined a man on top of her I bet.) He thought as he stood up. He held his hand out to help her up. "You could have been killed."
Anoch rolled his eyes descreetly. (Please your sword isn't that big child.) He thought.
Reyna laughed and snorted. "Ive been in way more dangerous situations than waking you up." She rolled her eyes. She took his hand and let him help pull her to her feet. He apparently had no sense of humor whatsoever.
Caleb sighed. "We'll, since we're all up we should get moving. If we ride hard we can get there with enough time to rest up and do reconnaissance." He said seriously.
Anoch nodded. (So damn serious all the time.) He thought. "Statement. Anoch believes he is correct." He said with a decreet wink to Reyna.
Reyna did her best to hide her smirk and coughed to help cover it up. "No shit. Why do you think i woke you up? You were wasting time." She reasoned, picking her backpack up and heading towards the giant birds.
Caleb yawned and headed for the birds as well. "Alright so the patrols around the perimeter are very regular to stop attempts of rescue and escape." He said seriously as he got on the giant bird's back. "But I know the routes so we should be able to avoid them easily enough. It's once we start fighting our way through and out that'll be an issue. Because the ones outside will be called in to fight us. But if we can manage to get our hands on a valuable enough hostage we should be able to get in and out relatively unscathed."
Anoch frowned then quickly regained composure. "Question. What happens if we can't get a hostage?" He asked.
Caleb frowned. "Then we try to sneak in then carve our way out." He said seriously.
Reyna had a thought then. "Hey. Wait a minute. Maybe were going about this the wrong way." She reasoned with everything but a light bulb above her head. She may have been way off base. But it was best to ask.
"What?" Caleb asked. "Do explain." He had no idea what she was talking about. (Wrong way what?) He wondered.
Anoch looked at her questioningly. (What is she planning?) He wondered.
Reyna looked at them with uncertainty. "You guys keep telling me i can command people right? Would that maybe work on a patrol of soldiers too?" She asked hopefully, knitting her brow together.
Caleb grinned. "Now you're thinking like a queen." He said proudly. "Now that's a plan. Keep going." (Holy shit she might not be useless after all.) He thought.
Reyna smiled proudly then, relieved she wasnt being an idiot. "What if we tricked a patrol. Just long enough to make them pause. I mean you guys could even pretend to be turning me in. I command them to go in and release all the prisoners. Then were not at risk and they go in, nobody would look at the men in armor. And then theyll do all the work for us. Maybe i can even tell them to start with the big guy and Sylvie so they can help move things along. And worst case if the plan goes sideways as a plan b theyll have atleast done enough damage to cause a distraction." She looked from one man to the othet hopeful.
