Sunlaw awoke early and slipped out of bed silently. He pressed a sweet kiss to Reyna's sleeping head before heading downstairs. Once he stepped out of the sound proof bedroom he heard his mothers chatting idly. He walked downstairs to the kitchen and smiled. "Good morning Mama. Good morning mother." He said easily. He was glad his parents loved Reyna as one of their own.
"Good morning Sunny." They said in unison.
"I'm gonna make Reyna some breakfast. You ladies want any?" He said smiling. Living as the only male in the house was tough but he didn't mind. There had been several times they'd all banded together and voted him as the one who had to do the dirty jobs. Although he was grateful Reyna had actually chosen him above the others. He wondered idly what they would do today.
His mothers both shook their heads. "No sweetie we ate already." His mama said softly. He was glad the house was large enough to house them all comfortably. The house didn't look like much but using magic it was big enough on the inside to house them all without his parents interfering with his and Reyna's relationship. He started cooking up a good sized breakfast packed with stradic energy. They'd stayed up late the night before laughing at his baby pictures and the rediculous costumes his mothers had put him in.
Reyna awoke lazily and stretched her arms above her head before reaching across the bed for sunlaw. When he wasnt there she opened her eyes and looked around the room. No sunlaw. Rubbing her bright eyes, she climbed out of bed and headed for the door to find him, still in her pajamas. She padded her bare feet towards the voices and entered the kitchen with messy bed head and a yawn. "Morning." She called to all of them as she made her way over to sunlaw. She wrapped her arms around his middle and pressed the side of her face against his back affectionately while he cooked.
Sunlaw smiled and put a hand on her arms affectionately. "I was planning on taking you up with breakfast in bed." He said smiling. "You missed mama and mother bragging about you." He shook his head. "I think they like you more than me."
"Aw sweetie." His mother said smiling. "Of course we do." She laughed as mama slapped her arm.
Sunlaw rolled his eyes. "I'm surprised you're up so early. I had to set a magic alarm to get up this early." He said smiling.
Reyna smiled at him even though he couldn't see and laughed with his mother. "I couldnt sleep when i realized you werent there." She admitted. "Sorry to ruin your surprise hubby." She apologized with a smile as she let go of him and moved to the table. She smiled at his parents. "And before you ask, no grandchildren yet. But you can blame him for not staying in bed long enough." She teased good naturedly with another laugh.
Mama sighed. "I am not getting any younger Sunny. You should go back to bed." She chastised.
Sunlaw chuckled and rolled his eyes with a smile as mother nodded her agreement with Mama. "Well now I gotta finish cooking. Then we gotta eat. Who knows by that time it'll be late enough in the day that it would just be improper to go back to bed." He joked with a grin as he set food on the table for Reyna and himself.
"Who cares about proper. You should be in there doing unspeakable things to your wife." Mother said as she lit a cigarette casually.
Mama sighed and shook her head. "Sunlida." She chastised. "You're horrible."
Sunlaw and his mother laughed. He was truly happy there as he never knew was possible. Reyna had made his life have real meaning. He honestly couldn't wait to go back to bed. He didn't have anything to do other than spend the day with Reyna. Their life was good. They'd only ever fought once in the years they'd been together. And that was when he brought her home to meet his parents for the first time. It hadn't occurred to him to inform her that both of his parents were not only women but lived in his house with him.
