"Here is my favorite cafe. I used to come here with my mom when I was little" I smiled before walking in. I quickly followed. "Is there anything good here?" I looked around the small, yet cute cafe.

"Yeah, the chocolate muffins are to die for" he looked down at me. I was like a head shorter than him. "Cool. I'll pay for me and you" I offered. It soon got rejected by Luke.

"No, since your new to the town, I'll pay for the both of us" he smiled toothy. "Two chocolate muffins" he asked the register.

The small, old lady nodded her head and took Luke's money. She smiled weakly at me before ducking her head a little to get the muffins from the clear counter.

"Here you go" her frail voice spoke up as she handed us a bag with two muffins. "Thank you" I smiled at the lady before following Luke out of the cafe.

"Let's sit here" he sat down at a small table in the front. I sat my self down across from him.

"Thanks" I smiled as he gave me the excellent smelling pastry.

"Try it. What are you waiting for?" He asked followed by a chuckle.

I took a bite out the delicious pastry. "Oh my god" I covered my mouth.

"What? Don't like it?" he chuckled.

"No, it's amazing!" I got a couple strange glances from people after I screamed that.

"Oh my god. I knew you were gonna like that. Everyone likes that pastry" he laughed.

"I love this. This is my now favorite pastry" I pointed down to the pastry that was in my hand. "Who's the best?"

"Me" I giggled. "No, I'm the best for showing you that muffin" he smiled.

"Whatever"

"You know what's funny?"

"What?" I asked.

"Just a couple hours ago, we didn't know each other" I cut in.

"And now were acting like were best friends" I finished.

Luke and I both laughed so hard.

"Yeah, that's what I was gonna say" he chuckled.

"Oh god" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"It's getting dark. Wanna go back?" he played with his lip ring between his teeth.

"Sure" I nodded. I finished the last bite before taking the brown paper bag into the trash.

"Ready?"

"Ready" I replied.

We walked in a line. Luke in front of me of course.

"Luke, is this your new girlfriend?" a too much familiar voice asked from behind me. I turned around and saw Matt with Rebecca.

"No, were friends" he shot back.

"Sure Hemmings, sure. What ever makes you sleep at night" he rolled his eyes and walked pass us.

"Ugh, I hate Matt" I clenched his fists.

"I already do too"

"Did you meet him before?" he asked.

"Yeah, he came to my house earlier to welcome me, but he really only flirted with me" I answered.

Luke let out a small groan. "Let's just continue" I motioned towards the long sidewalk in front of us.

Luke nodded his head and started walking again.

Within 2 more minutes of walking, we finally made it to our houses. "Well, thanks for the muffin. I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah, I can show you a lot more tomorrow since I really didn't show you that much. Just the most amazing muffin in town" he chuckled.

"Don't you mean the most amazing muffin in this world?" I corrected him.

"Yeah, yeah. Well, goodnight Emma" he waved me off as he turned on his heel to go I to his house.

"Bye" I whispered to myself.

I continued to walk to my house.

"I'm home!" my voice echoed through the house full of boxes. "Welcome home!" my mother came in the living room from the kitchen.

"Your acting like I haven't been home in decades" I giggled. "Well, the longest you were out was for a night, from a sleepover, that was mostly a day" she confirmed me. "Aha, well, I'm tired. Good night" I yelled from the stairs.

I looked at my phone and it was only 9 p.m. Still, I was tired, so it didn't matter what time it was.

I grabbed some comfy shorts and an old shirt from a box in my room and traveled to the bathroom across the hall.

I slipped the pjs on and made my way to my room. Only 2 feet away.

I yawned before I made myself cozy in my bed. I was just lucky I didn't have to sleep on the floor.

My eyes became heavier and heavier and within seconds, I was out like a light.
