"You really want to know that?" I asked, raising both eyebrows. "Yes! Now spill"
"Fine, well, I like bad boys. Lip rings, tattoos, that kind of stuff. I don't want a boy who does drugs, goes to jail, beats people or abuses the girl. I want a guy who is bad, but yet, sensitive. He should cuddle me in the winter, he should cheer me up when I'm sad and he should be there for me in any case. And I want a guy that is in love with me. Not one that pretends to be" I finished.
"Wow" was all Luke said. "Yep. You asked for it" I chuckled.
"Yeah, I did" he chuckled. Our pizza finally came and we sat there, looking at the pizza, nobody wanted to take the first slice.
"You know what's weird?" I broke the silence. "What?" he looked up at me.
"We wanted to go to the mall, but instead we came here" I looked up.
"I didn't really think about that" he said.
We both bursted out into laughter. "Who's gonna take the first slice?" I asked.
"Me!" he dove his hand right to the pizza, ripping out a slice. I rolled my eyes in amusement.
"That was good" Luke finished his last bite of his last pizza. Finally.
I only took two slices and Luke took the rest. He can eat, for a skinny dude.
"Let's go" I patted my belly, acting as if I was Luke who ate most of everything.
He rolled his eyes and rummaged through his pocket for money. "No, no. I got it" I placed a twenty dollar bill on the table.
He shrugged and we both exited the pizzeria.
"That, was some good pizza" he stated. "We already knew that Luke. Keep up" I patted his back and headed out in front of him, recovering my job from before. The leader.
"Where to next leader?" he asked from behind me. "The mall we go!" I screamed.
I got a few funny glances from strangers but it didn't bother me because I don't even know them and I doubt I will ever see them again.
We walked and walked and finally after five minutes or so, we came to a halt in front of the huge entrance of the mall.
"Here we go" we stepped in. I always love malls.
It's like entering a whole new dimension. First world, then heaven.
"What would you like to get first?" I asked.
"Shoes" he smiled down at me. "Fine. Let's go. What store?" I asked.
"I'll lead the way" he stepped in front of me. "I hate being behind you. I want to go next to you" I did so.
I got a couple smiles from people. I think they thought Luke and I were a couple.
"Ok, in here" he walked right in a dark store. There were some lights, but not many. It was dark and gloomy. There are some shirts hanging on the walls with punk signs on them, and band names too. Some short black dresses hung up as well. I could instantly tell, this was a punk store.
We traveled to a little section of shoes.
"You scared?" he asked. "No, I even told you before. Bad boys" I crossed my arms, trying to act tuff.
Luke just smiled and tried on a pair of shoes. I didn't really pay attention to what the shoes looked like because my eyes drifted over to the register.
There was a man, leaning against the counter. He had a pink mullet on top of his head. A black shirt on, and piercings all over his face. His nose, lip, eyebrow, bottom lip and forehead. Added with gauges. They looked horrible. I could throw up.
"C'mon" he tugged my arm, motioning towards the register. I quickly followed and was greeted by the man.
"Hello Luke. Watcha here for this time? Shoes?" the man obviously knows Luke. "yeah" he answered back.
Luke paid and we both left. I think that the man didn't even acknowledge me.
"He was scary" I whispered. "Sometimes. He usually doesn't look like that" he whispered back.
I rolled my eyes. "Doubtful" I replied back.
Luke gave me a small chuckle and we walked around the mall some more.
Only to be greeted by Natalie, Rebecca and Matt.
"Emma! Hey!" Natalie squealed. "Hey" I mumbled.
"How have you been! It's been ages!" she smiled so brightly that my eyes could burn.
"I've been better, and it's been only days" I corrected her.
"Whatever. I've been good, thanks for asking" I didn't even ask.
"It was nice seeing you, we have to go" Luke and I tried to walk pass them but were cut short.
"Why are you guys leaving so soon?" Matt asked. "We have to go back home" I mumbled. "Oh, well fine. I'll see you later Emma" Matt winked at me.
I rolled my eyes and Luke and I continued to walk.
"Oh god, I remember, Luke, do you wanna come to my cookout this Saturday? It's at my house. I totally forgot to ask you earlier" I said.
"Sure, sounds fun" he smiled.
