Chapter 9

"So Emma, you two aren't dating?" Ashton asked once more. "No, were not Ash" I mumbled. "Can I have a word with you Emma?" Ashton asked.

"Sure" I nodded my head and turned around to face Luke. "Luke, I'll be right back" I smiled before turning on my heel once more, following Ash.

Ashton brought me inside the house, like he knew where every room was. We ended up in the living room as Ashton asked for me to sit on the couch.

"Emma, we both know that we like each other. Yes, you live here now but I can't stand not being yours" he sat down next to me, swiping his face with both hands.

"W-What do you mean?" I stuttered.

"Emma Diamond, will you be my girlfriend?" He sat in a different angle to face me.

"Ash-" He cut me off. "Emma, it's a yes or no answer. It's not a proposal" he chuckled.

"Yes. Fine. Fine Ash. I'll be your girlfriend" I smiled. Ashton smiled so widely. "Thank you" was all he said.

"No problem, it's true what you said. We do both like each other" I quoted.

"Yeah" he mumbled.

I got up, reaching my hand out for him to grab.

"Hey, don't you have a pool?" he asked. "Yeah, why?" I asked.

"Is it open? I brought a bathing suit just in case" he said. "Yeah, go outside and I'll be right there. I'll get changed" I motioned for him to go outside.

I ran up the stairs and ran straight for my room.

I rummaged through my draws until my eyes were glued to a bikini.

I grabbed it, running to the bathroom that was across the hall and got changed.

As I slipped on the bikini, there was a knock on the door.

"Emma?" a familiar voice echoed through the bathroom.

"Luke? What's up?" I said through the door. "Ashton wants you" he said.

"Ok, I'm coming out" I said, opening the door, looking at a shirtless Luke. He was already in his swim suit that I assume he brought.

"Hey" he mumbled. "Hey? Let's go" he looked in shock or something. Like he never saw a girl with a bikini on.

I walked right pass him and walked down my stairs, totally forgetting the clothes I left on the sink counter.

I walked outside to see Ash, Calum, Michael, Dana and Sarah all having fun in the pool.

Music was blaring out of the speakers and I could tell mostly all the adults and everyone else moved to the inside of the house. It just left the seven of us outside.

"Let's go!" I screamed as I ran to the pool, jumping in.

As my head appeared from the water, I saw Luke just sitting on the ledge of the pool. His feet wasn't in the pool, his body was to the side, only revealing one side of his body.

His knees were up to his chest, his arms wrapped around his knees as well.

His face was towards me, watching every move. "What's the matter?" I whipped my hair to the side. "I'm just not feeling the mood to go in" he answered. "Then why did you bring your bathing suit?" I asked.

"I don't know" he chuckled. "C'mon Luke!" Ashton screamed as he jumped once again into the pool.

"Yeah, what he said" I giggled.

"Fine" he gave him. Luke got ready to jump.

When Luke jumped, it made a huge splash, water spraying my face.

"Luke!" I screamed as he popped his head from under the water. "Emma!" he mimicked.

I splashed some water on him, getting my revenge. Of course, on instinct, he splashed back. It was a huge splash war.

"Hey guys! Emma!" Ashton called out.

I turned my head around to see Ash standing on the concrete looking down at me. "Yeah?" I asked. Everyone stopped splashing, and looked at Ashton.

"Emma, I think we should tell them the great news" Ash kneeled down to give me a hand. I grabbed his wet hand and he pulled me up and out of the water.

I nodded my head as he continued.

"Emma and I are dating" he finally spoke. "OH MY GOD! FINALLY!" Dana screamed.

"Yeah, we are" I looked back up at Ashton, who wrapped his arm around my waist. I smiled and he smiled back.

"That's amazing" Luke commented, sending me a warming smile. "Thanks Luke" I smiled back.

He nodded assuringly and I made contact with Ashton again.

"It's getting dark" Sarah whined. "Oh! I have an idea!" I squealed, over excited. "Let's get seven chairs, and make a fire, and we all share stories!" I continued.

Every one nodded in agreement.

I set up seven chairs around my new fire pit and went inside really quick to get a sweatshirt and leggings. I didn't even want to change out of my bathing suit.

As I rumbled through my stuff, I heard a light knock come from my door.

I turned my head to see Calum standing at the door way.

"Hey" I mumbled. "Hey" he replied. "What's up" I mumbled again.

"I know you have a thing for Luke" he spoke up. "What are you talking about?" I became annoyed at what he said, he knew that I liked Ash for a long time.

"You know what I said Diamond" he walked over to my bed to sit on.

"I know, but like you know that I like Ashton. I have only known Luke for days now. I can't like Luke with only that amount of time Calum. And besides, I won't start having feelings for him because I like Ash. Calum, I might even be in love with him" I turned back around the face my drawer.

I rummaged through more stuff as he continued. "I'll be outside" he mumbled. I heard a creak as he got up from my bed and leave the room.

I sighed before continuing on looking for my things.

Would I start having feelings for Luke? Do I already have feelings for him?
