"Hey mom" I said lightly as she stared at me blankly. I had stopped at my house to see if she would let me stay.
"Hi honey. Why are you here?" she asked.
"Luke and I are in a....fight" I decided to say. I didn't really want her to know about what happened.
"Do you want to stay here?" she offered, letting me in.
"Here, I'll hold Matthew for you" she offered.
I quickly, but politely denied her offer.
"Yeah mom. Can I please stay here?" I asked.
"Yes. You can sweet heart" she smiled, caressing her thumb against my cold cheek.
"Thank you mom" I said followed by a smile.
"No problem. So, what happened between you two?" she asked.
"We just got into an argument" I lied.
My mom never knew about what happened to Matt.
"Your lying. You always scrunch up your nose when you are lying" she said.
It was true. Whatever. I'll just tell her. Maybe she can help me out. To give me advice.
Ten minutes later I finished explaining everything that happened.
"I'm so sorry honey" she jumped up from her seat on the couch and gave me a huge hug.
She pulled away from the hug and walked over to Matthew.
"Oh Matthew" she held him up close to her chest, hugging him so every tightly.
"So will he ever be able to walk?" she asked.
"No. Unless he gets a leg. Like those plastic ones that the army guys use when their leg got blown off or something" I said.
She just nodded her head and continued to stare Matthew.
I did as well. He was so adorable. I know I'm bragging but it's true. I love my little angle.
I heard a knock on the door. It wasn't light, it wasn't loud. But it was enough to startle to me.
"I'll get it" I mumbled.
"Hel-" I got cut off by seeing Luke standing right in front of me.
"What" I decided to say.
"Emma. Can I talk to you?" he asked.
"No" I answered back.
I shut the door before he could say anything else.
"Who was that?" my mom asked.
"Luke" I mumbled.
"You know, you can't hide from him forever Emma" she said, still cradling Matthew in her arms back and forth.
"I know. I'm going to talk to him when he makes a decision" I said.
"What if he already made his decision? What if you just closed the door on an answer?" she asked.
"No. I know him. He came back to 'explain'" I said.
My mom just nodded her head.
*LUKES POV)
I didn't know what to do. I wanted to explain to Emma that it was a mistake to be with her. But I couldn't lie. It was true that I had some feelings for Natalie.
Weeks have passed now, I haven't seen or heard anything from Emma.
"Dude. I know Emma like a book. You have to make the first move" Calum said. Today I had invited Calum and Michael out to Emma and I's favorite Cafè so that I could get some advice.
"Like what?" I asked, sipping on my hot chocolate. Yes, it was fall now. The coldest fall that I have ever seen.
"Like, if you truly love Emma, tell her. Do something crazy to show her how much you love her. It's a good thing that she hasn't moved on yet" Michael said.
I nodded in agreement. I should. I should tell her.
"But when? When's the right time?" I asked.
Like an old wise man, Calum continued.
"You will know the right time Luke" he said.
It's going to be now. Nows my right time.
It was pouring out. A lot. I didn't really care if I was getting soaked. This was for Emma. Anything for Emma. My Emma.
As soon as I got to her gate that leads to her house, I found Emma just quietly sitting on a chair outside her front door.
I was too lazy to open up the gate so I hopped over it.
"Emma!" I screamed.
"Luke?" she answered.
Now she came out to the pouring rain. Her hair immediately getting soaked. I don't know if she was crying or not because of the stupid rain.
"I need to tell you something. And please. I bed you. Listen to me" I pleaded.
"What" she asked sternly.
Here's the moment where I have to be the charming hero.
"I was stupid to be involved with Natalie. I was stupid Emma. I made a huge mistake. Yes, it's true. Before I did have feelings for her. But I had feelings for you too. I don't like her anymore. I despise her now. The one I love is you! I love you Emma Diamond!" I screamed. I really didn't want to mess this up. I did as she asked. I made a decision. My decision was to be with Emma. To be with the one I love. I know it sounds very cheesy. But it's true.
"Luke-" I was chest to chest with her at this point.
I cut her off by smashing our lips together. Kissing in motion. The way I liked it. The way I love it.
Emma was the one to pull away ever so lightly.
"I love you too Luke" she admitted.
A big smile etched onto my lips as I kissed her again and again and again.
My love is with me now.
