Luke opened the door to go to the backyard for me and I slipped out. Luke soon followed and I was greeted by some of my old friends. Dana, Sarah, Calum, Michael and Ashton.

"Oh my god! I didn't know you guys were coming!" I screamed as I hugged each and every one of them.

I hugged Ashton of course last. Ashton and I were still on edge with each other after what happened. It wasn't a big deal. But it was still awkward.

"It's nice to see you again" Ashton whispered in my ear as I hugged him.

*flashback*

"C'mon! Tell me why you guys don't date!" Michael screamed.

"Because, I don't want to date" I muttered. "Me too" Ashton mumbled.

I looked over at Ashton, his head down and of course, he was sad. Like always.

Since ever our friends have mentioned to us to date, he has been down.

"Ashton, you alright?" Calum asked.

"Yeah" he mumbled.

"That's not the reason" Michael said. It was true. That wasn't the reason why I didn't want to date Ashton.

The reason is, because Ashton and I have been best friends since birth. We established that we didn't want to ruin that. But ever since our other friends brought it up, it's been awkward between us. It really shouldn't, but it just is.

"Fine, we aren't dating because Emma and I don't want to ruin or friendship" Ash spoke up.

"Yeah right" Calum stated. "It's true" I interrupted.

Every one have each other nods and Dana continued the conversation.

"Emma, Ash. We don't think that it would ruin your friendship. It'll only make it better. You two are made to be. Like fate or something like that"

I looked around the room, my eyes narrowing onto someone else's eyes.

"Whatever" Ash mumbled. I darted my eyes at him, he already beat me to it. Ashton was looking straight at me. A look of disappointment, sadness, anger. Mixed emotions really.

"I have to go home and pack my last bag" I spoke up. They never liked me talking about me leaving.

"Emma, can I have a word with you?" Ashton asked.

I hesitated at first but nodded my head a yes.

Both Ashton and I got up from the chairs we were sitting on and left the room. I said my goodbyes before exited Dana's house.

"What's up" I shoved my hands deep in my pocket as Ashton shut the door behind him.

"So, your leaving in two days huh?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah, I'm gonna miss y-" I was interrupted by Ashton's lips smashing into mine.

I hesitated again, but let in. I liked the feeling of his lips on mine. Some part of me has been waiting for Ashton to make a move for a long time. I have been waiting for this moment.

"Ash" I pulled away lightly. "I'm going to miss you" he let out.

"I'm gonna miss you too" I stared to tear up.

"Please, don't cry" he asked. "I actually have been waiting for you to make that move" I admitted.

"Really?" he raised both eyebrows. "Really" I assured him.

"I'll visit you soon" I said, turning on my heel to leave.

Not one word came out of Ashton's lips as I left. He just let me wake away. He let me walk out his life. Let's be honest. When will I ever visit him? I don't have a car and my parents probably won't be home to bring me. It is an hour drive there.

He let me. Ashton let me walk out of his life. Great. Where am I going to find someone like him?

*end of flashback*

I slightly smiled and turned back around to be greeted by Luke with a huge grin. "Oh guys, this is Luke. He's my friend here"

Luke and all my friends shook hands and got to know each other.

"So, are you Emma's boy?" Ashton asked, rocking back and forth on his heels.

"N-No" I stuttered. "No, just friends" Luke cut in. "Oh ok" Ashton mumbled, followed by a smile.

I looked at Dana and Sarah and they were both whispering something to their boyfriends.

I ignored it, and Sarah went on with the conversation. "Well, we need to catch up soon Emma. Dana and I are going to meet up with your mom. To say hi and stuff" Sarah finished. "And Michael and Calum are coming with us too" Dana took a hold of her boyfriends hand, Calum. And Sarah took Michaels arm. They were dating too.

There was just a silent Luke and a silent Ashton. Looking for answers.
