My world went black. The only things I could hear was ambulances and police cars.

"Emma! Wake up honey! Wake up!" A familiar voice echoed through my ears.

I wanted to get up and hug Luke but my body wouldn't allow it.

"Emma were here for you. Matthew is safe! Just wake up honey!" Luke screamed.

I couldn't move, I couldn't open my eyes, I couldn't open up my mouth to talk to him.

"Emma Diamond? Emma Diamond?" Some unknown voice asked for my name over and over again.

"Y-Yeah?" I finally had the strength to talk again. "Are you ok?" he asked, I don't think he noticed how stupid that question was.

"No" I mumbled.

"Ok, you just need to know that we are sending you and your son to the hospital. You both are in critical condition. Your husband isn't coming because he is fine. One of our men checked him and he is perfectly fine. Just a headache" he said.

I couldn't move after he told me that my son was hurt. "What do you mean? Is my son ok?!" I screamed, hurting my ribs.

"Yes, but he is going to be ok" he said. I knew they only say that because they don't want to stress out their patients.

I sighed, relaxing and hoping that the pain will go away. But it didn't.

When we got to the hospital, that rushed me out of the ambulance and into a room.

"Prepare her for surgery" one man said.

Once I knew it, I passed out.

I didn't know how long I was out but when I woke up, I felt better. My ribs didn't hurt as much as they did before.

The room was white. But not empty. My arm was attached by a clear tube, that was connected to an IV.

"Emma?" Luke's frail voice asked.

"Luke?" I turned my head next to me to see Luke's eyes red and I could tell he was just crying.

"It's me" I assured him. "Oh my god. Thank god that your ok" it looked like a huge layer of relief released from him.

"Where is Matthew?" I asked, confused.

"He-he's in another room. They-They are testing him" he choked on his words.

"What do you mean?" my voice came higher.

"He kind of got hurt in the car accident. He broke his leg" he said.

"My little baby broke his leg already?" I asked. "Yeah, some glass hit his leg and infected it. They had to take his leg. Up to his knee" he finished, almost crying.

I cried myself, wiping the tears away.

"What?" my voice cracked.

"Do you want to see him?" he asked.

"Yes!" I screamed, hoping out of the bed. But soon failed as I fell. "Ow!" I screamed. "Oh my god" he grabbed crutches from behind the door and helped me up.

"You sprained your ankle" he told me.

I nodded my head, taking the crutches.

As I balanced myself, Luke held my back as he led my down the hall into another small white room.

"Oh my god. My baby" I covered my hand with my hand, letting the crutch fall to the ground.

Matthew was in this clear box, with tubes sticking out everywhere.

I looked in through one of the whole that were provided along the side, and looked at him.

My baby had no leg, up to the knee. He looked so peaceful. He was sleeping of course.

"Oh my god. I can't look" I shot right up, nestling my head into Luke's chest.

"It's ok baby, he's going to be ok" he rubbed my back.

"I hope" I answered.

All I needed was hope right now.
