Chapter 40: Twinning Onesies

Star's (Shaina) POV
The tree was expected to arrive sometime around 3pm. Which was around two hours away.
"Should we change into PJs?" I asked, plucking at the feathery cushions, "I bought some cute christmassy ones. So cute."
"Omg same!" Lulu squealed excitedly, grabbing my arm and squeezing it.
"Ow!"
"Jokes on you, I bought some too!" Sky said.
Turns out we all bought some.

"Um, let's change into them because I wanna get in the Christmas spirit!" Rose exclaimed, "Plus, I bought cookie dough!"
"I'll say yes to anything if it involves cookie dough!" Sky squealed.

We changed into our Christmas pyjamas, all in onesies, and were now in the kitchen getting out cookie dough.
"So, what movie shall we watch?" I asked.
"A monster's Christmas. You'll love it, I promise!" said Lulu, "It's about 40 minutes long, don't stick it on now."
"I'll just type it in on Netflix, and play it when we're all done," I said.
"Good idea," Rose mumbled, "Gum, you're the chef here. What are we making?"
I rolled my eyes. Silly old Rose.
"We're using cookie dough, so what do you expect?" I sarcastically murmured, "Obviously cookies."
"No," Gumball said to my surprise.

What else could we make with cookie dough? It was called "cookie" dough for a reason.
She pulled out multiple bowls, and then looked at me in the eyes, "Cookie dough...cupcakes!"
That was unexpected. Regardless, they sounded so fricking good! I was practically drooling. Better yet, they were made of cookie dough.
"Now that is a good idea." I said.

We mixed. We whisked. We baked. It was fun. I got the lucky job of taste testing.
"So, how is the texture?" Gumball asked, her lips twitching, "Hopefully good."
I nodded my head, "It's perfect! Dip your finger in, honestly it's so good."
And then, the door rang.

"I'll answer it!" Rose shouted, flying to the door, "Sky come with me in case it's the tree."

Surprise, surprise. It was the tree.

Sky and Rose dragged the massive box into the room, red and sweaty, panting.
"That's one...(pant) heavy... tree!" Rose spluttered, red colouring her cheeks, "I'm not carrying big parcels in anymore, that was one heck of a job."
"Right!" Sky agreed.

"Let's pop these cookies in the oven," said Gumball.
I helped her slide the tray into the oven, "Wow, Sky, Rose! This is soooo heavy!"
Rose thumped me on the shoulder, "Next time I'll bite you."
