Chapter 17: Instagram Worthy

Sky's POV
This dragon was the cutest thing ever. Literally. Thank goodness we didn't get a parrot. That thing would scare the heeby jeebies outta me.
"Jewels? I feel like a mom," Lulu exclaimed, scooping the baby dragon into her hands, "He's so small. The size of a bag of sugar."
"I wanna hold him next! Dibs!" I shouted, raising my hand.
Rose hit my shoulder.
"Ow, what was that for?!"
Rose laughed, "Because I'm going next."
"But I called dibs!" I sighed.
Of course Rose was next.

"Fine, while you guys smooch that dragon, I'm going to set up the food!" I muttered, miserably.
Lulu put Jewels in Rose's arms, "Hold him while I help set up the food with Sky. Gum come help us."
I smiled sarcastically, "Aww, thanks. So considerate."
Lulu pulled a face.

We began ripping open the bags.
"Whose is whose?" Gum asked, peering into the bags, "I'm so confused."
"Well, I ordered just a bunch of food to put together so we can share, I thought it'd be much more fun!" I said, "I ordered chicken balls, a lot of chips, prawn crackers, egg-fried rice, curry, vegan sushi, chicken chow mein and ramen noodle! It came to the cost of £28. We have like £4 left..."
"You could've just ordered a plate of chips for us all which would've been a lot cheaper," Gum said, tapping her nails on the table, "Where do we start?"
Lulu smiled at us both, "Bowls. I'll get the bowls and sort out the food with Sky. Gum can you move all the things off the living room table?"
"Sure sure," she said, and walked to the table.
"Come on Sky," Lulu said, ripping open the boxes of food.

We filled 7 bowls to the brim with takeout food. It looked good. Lulu whipped out her phone and took a picture, posting it on Instagram.

I clapped my hands, "All done."
Lulu nudged me and whispered, "So when are we investigating?"
"As soon as everyone's finished eating," I responded.
Lulu nodded.
"Guys!" I shouted, "Foods done! Someone help us set it on the table!"
Lulu staggered back, bewildered, "Stop shrieking like that. Jeez."
Rose stood up, "I gave Jewels to Gum for a bit. Let's just set the food down."
