CHAPTER 3: Why Is He Here?!?

I can't believe he is here. Then for my cousin to lay in on me for being so cold and so rude. I just stomped away back up to my bedroom and I walked in then slammed the door, Tasha jumped from the bed.

"Woah! What the hell happened?" She asked. 

"He's here." I say as I wipe away some tears of both sadness and irritation.

"Who's here?" She asks. 

"Darren." I blurt out and sit on the end of the bed as I try and calm myself down with my face in my hands.

"As in Darren the asshole who rejected you?!" She asks.

"Yes." I sniffle.

"Oh my god! And he's downstairs right now?" She asks.

"Yes." I tell her.

She is quiet for a moment and then asks me what he's doing here in which I had no idea.
The doorbell then rang again which meant that had to have been the pizza delivery guy.

"Wait here, i'll go get the pizza." She tells me.

So I sit and wait and not a couple minutes later, she mind links telling me to go along with what she's about to do and asks for me to come downstairs.

So I wipe my tears and walk downstairs and when I feel all eyes on me from the living room as everyone is silent, including Darren, I walk past them and up towards the door.

When I see who the delivery guy is, I notice it's Tasha's friend from school. Who is really cute by the way and happens to be gay and from the looks of it, Tasha seems to have told him what was up. Because right away he was flirtatious. He's not as hot as Darren of course but still very cute.

"Hey Elona. I didn't know you lived here." He smiles at me.

"Yeah." I play along and flirt back with him even though it's driving my wolf crazy and I know it's driving Darren crazy cause I can hear a low gutteral growl with his eyes burning a hole in the poor guy.

Her friend, Klein who also happens to be the Beta and mate of his Alpha. They are a pretty strong pack.

"So now that I know where you live, and aren't too far from my house, you want a lift to school and home?" He asks.

"I'd love that thank you." I reply.

"If you want to, since it's a minimum day, want to go to that same place we went to last week?" He asks with a smirk and cocked eyebrow while he looks out the corner of his eye amused of how effective this is working with Darren.

"I'd love to. That was a lot of fun." I smile.

"Well see ya tomorrow at school." Tasha tells him and then grabs the food and closes the door before heading upstairs where as soon as we get inside and close the door, we both break out into a fit of laughter.

"Wow that was fun." I told her.

"Hell yeah it was! Did you hear Darren growling?" She laughs.

"I did thanks!" I smile at her.

"Of course. We're best friends." She winks and smiles then we dig into the food, watch a few more movies and then she passes out.

While she's asleep, I go downstairs to grab some more water bottles as we just ran out and as soon as I opened my door, I was hit with his scent. WTF? Please tell me he isn't here.

I make my way downstairs and hope it's just the lingering of his scent that he had left.

Then I get to the kitchen and the lights are all off so I open the fridge door and grab some waters then as soon as I close the fridge door and turn around I am startled by the light being turned on and Darren standing there looking pissed.

"You scared me." I tell him. "What are you still doing here?"

"We're staying here." He says.

"For how long?" I asked.

"For however long it takes." He states.

"For however long what takes?" I ask a little irritated.

He looks at me for a moment and smirks at me before he says anything and changes the subject.

"Who was that guy?" He asks while clenching his jaw after I catch him eyeing me up and down.

"Who?" I ask pretending I don't know what he's talking about.

"Don't play dumb with me!" He snaps at me.

"What's it to you?" I smirked.

"You are mine. We are mates and..." He starts but I cut him off.

"And nothing. You and I are NOT mates. You rejected me. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm free to be with whomever I want to be." I tell him.

I then begin trying to walk past him when I feel him grab my wrist and stupid mates thing, I feel the sparks run through me. Before I have a chance to let go, I am quickly released as soon as I hear my sister tiredly stand at the top of the upstairs balcony and look down at us.

"What's going on?" She yawns.

I look at her and then back at him before leaving back up to my room upset and hurt like I was that one day. They are the real mates. I don't know why the Moon Goddess wants to be a bitch and do this to me.

I felt sick and ended up falling asleep as soon as I laid my head down. What the hell is he really doing here?! I wondered.
