CHAPTER 24: A Few Months Later

Well, it happened finally, both my father and her uncle as well as her cousin got what they deserved. I wanted so badly to believe that locking them away in confinement would have been enough but I always knew deep down inside the truth in the fact that that never would have stopped either one of them. And I couldn't have my mate live in fear everyday because of them.

After everything had happened and we all healed up, the Elders in the wolf council asked if I would like to take my father's place. I did accept it eventually as it is an honor and a once in a lifetime opportunity with our kind to be offered such a position.

Although, at first I needed to think about it as I wasn't sure I wanted to be a part of a council who thinks old fashion and refuses to see the truth sometimes. But the head elder informed me before I accepted, that they needed a fresh new mind and ears and eyes when it came to judgement. Which was why I decided to accept.

Tasha had fully recovered a couple weeks after the fight and a few days later, I proposed to Elona and now we are planning our wedding for in several months.

Zion and Tasha ended up getting married in Vegas a month ago, as neither one had wanted a big ceremony anyways and wanted it to be just us there.

Things have been going pretty good and it's been now a good few months since everything happened.

I guess you could say overall there were good things that came out of this whole ordeal. At least that's how we're all looking at it.

"Baby would you come down here for a moment please?!" I heard my beautiful mate call out to me from the living room.

I get up and head out of my office towards her and I notice she's sitting on the couch, looking through a binder that was filled with some wedding stuff and she asked me to sit next to her.

"Babe, I'm not good at this wedding stuff." I remind her without trying to sound like a dick.

"I know but this will be all I need your help with." She smiles as I sit next to her.

I can't resist that smile of hers.

"Okay." I smile back and put my arm around her.

"So look through here and try to help me pick out invitations." She says.

"Can't we do this stuff online?" I ask.

"Well yeah but, I wanted to see them in person instead." She says.

She next starts writing things down and then as I start looking through the pages of different invitation samples, she starts looking through her purse and then I land on a page that right on top of an invitation, is a picture of what looks to be the picture of a maternity test.

"Uh Elona, what's...." I began to ask but stopped as soon as looked over and saw her smile real big and then I notice in her hand a pregnancy test stick thing.

"I found out this morning and Tasha thought it would be funny if I were to tell you this way so that it was somewhat cute." She says and then closes her eyes for a second. "Sorry, it was a stupid way to tell you." She says.

I then turn her head to face me and smash my lips onto hers while grabbing her hips and sitting her on my lap. Then we pull apart and she giggles while I look into her eyes.

"I love you. Thank you for giving me another chance. For saying yes and marrying me and then giving me a child. I am the luckiest man in the world." I tell her.

She smiles and leans in closer towards me.

"Yes you are." She teases. "But I'm the luckiest woman to have found you. I love you too."

She next pulls me in closer and we begin making out and of course, just as it does most of the time, things start to get more lustful but we are immediately interrupted as we hear the front door open up and in walks Zion and Tasha.

"Hey you two! You aren't the only one's living here!" Tasha says.

We both roll our eyes and get up so that we can grab some food they had just brought in and right when we walk up to them, Zion asks us something.

"So did you tell him yet?" He asks Elona.

"Yep." She smiles.

"Congratulations man." He tells me.

"Thanks." I smile and then take the pregnancy test from Elona's hand and toss it at Zion. "There's the proof too." I laugh.

"Ugh ew! What the fuck bro?!" He freaks out and takes it then starts throwing it back at me.

"That was hilarious." I laugh.

"That's disgusting. She peed on that man." He states.

"Oh my god it's clean you big babies." Elona says. "Give me that." She takes it from me.

We all shared a real good laugh together, even Zion and I teases him about what kind of an uncle he was going to be and he teased me about the dad I was going to be and we just went back and forth with each other.

Things were finally looking up and great finally without having to worry about it not lasting. This was a brand new start for everyone and we all can't wait to see where life takes us. Either way, no matter what, we all have each other and that's all that matters.

Hey guys it's the end of this story but have no fear, more stories are here!! I will be posting two new stories once I finish one of the other ones but for now, tonight I will post for one if the new stories tonight. :):) Not sure on the title but for now I will call it, The Masquerade until I think of another title.
