CHAPTER 7: I'm About To Scream!!

It's Tuesday now and my aunt and uncle were supposed to be back but they instead decided to stay longer and would let us know when they were coming back.

I had tried to ignore and keep away from Darren although he seemed to have other plans in trying to talk and trying to be with me.

I especially needed to keep my distance after he not only rejected me twice by the same jerk but to have done it to my cousin's mate?

I had asked Tasha in what the hell the deal was with him and why they weren't leaving or if she knew anything about him and his pack staying here longer. She said she didn't know and I was confused as to why because I thought him and my sister closed the deal on the alliance or whatever already.

Whatever, I don't need to worry about it right now cause I needed to focus on working on my project that was supposed to be 90% of my final grade.

While walking into school I was a little surprised to see a lot more people looking at me than usual. Although people had seemed to be smiling more and giving me a 'good for you' look while most of the popular girls look me up and down in disgust and whisper things in each other's ears as though telling one another a secret or something.

Probably discussing how I acted at the party or something in which I don't remember much. Well, aside from the obvious towards the end of the night.

So I continued walking towards my locker and took out my books I needed for my next couple of classes then as soon as I slammed the door shut, I heard Tasha call out to me while running my way.

"Wait up!" She says.

I turn and laugh at how funny she looks as I can tell with her hair in a bun that she stayed up late last night with Zion.

She always does her hair and makeup and this is the first time in forever I have seen her not wear her hair down.

"Well look who finally came to school." I teased her.

"Oh don't be jealous." She teases.

"Trust me. I'm good." I tell her as we start walking towards our first class.

"Oh I know you are. In fact, we ALL know you are." She winks and smiles.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"Oh come on. The whole school is talking about it." She says.

"About what though?" I asked still confused.

"You have to be kidding me. You don't remember much of the party this past weekend do you?" She asks.

"No, not really." I reply afraid she's gonna tell me I embarrassed myself in some way.

"When your Prince Charming came and rescued you." She states.

"Huh?" I replied.

"Oh god. I see I might need to bring out the crayons to spell it out for you." She teases. "Darren came and carried you out of the party after helping take care of you while you were puking."

"Oh, that." I say.

"Oh, that." She mocks. "Girl, I know that he rejected you before and don't hate me for saying this, but do you think that maybe he knows he made a mistake and...." I stopped her right there.

"No. I can't deal with this right now. Please don't defend him and no matter what everyone saw, NOTHING I repeat NOTHING happened." I tell her.

"Alright." She says before dropping the subject and we head into our first class together.

I roll my eyes at her in annoyance and we headed inside.

When lunchtime came around, we were heading outside and to our usual table and realized I forgot to grab some money but did have a granola bar.

So right as we sat down, I noticed Zion and Darren come walking towards us carrying some food.

I looked over at Tasha cause I know she had something to do with it though before I could say anything, they sat down at the table and of course, Darren sat next to me and handed me some food and a drink while Zion sat next to Tasha and gave her her food after giving her a kiss.

"Thought you'd guys be hungry." Zion says.

"Thanks." I tell him.

"Of course!" He replies.

While eating, I hadn't realized just how hungry I was until I noticed I only had a few more bites and it had been only five minutes.

Feeling a little embarrassed, I took a break and started sipping on my sprite.

For some reason, I felt a little bit nervous with him sitting next to me and I'm not sure in why.

"So Elona, you up for some dinner and going to the drive in?" I hear Darren break the silence.

"Uh, no thanks. I've got school tomorrow." I reply.

"Oh, right." He says.

"Hey Elona." We hear Klein come up from behind us.

I next hear a growl and I know right away that it belonged to Darren.

I then look back at Klein.

"Hey." I greeted him.

We hugged and then I felt myself being pulled away abruptly from Klein and as I stumble a little bit and catch myself I see Klein and Darren begin to argue and right as it looks as though they're about to break out into a brawl, something happens that makes me want to SCREAM!!!
