CHAPTER 10: So Much To Do.....

DARREN

"Like you don't know." Elona says under her breath.

"Elona, what are you talking about?!" I ask.

I hear her sniffle a little before answering.

"It doesn't matter." I hear her say.

"Tell me." I ask a little more assertive than I wanted to sound.

"Just take me home!" She snaps at me as she whips her head looking at me and has tears in her eyes.

"Not until you tell me." I begin to push back.

"It doesn't matter! Just forget I fucking said anything." I hear her sound like she is starting to cry a little more.

"Tell me, please!" I beg.

"What the hell did you think she did?! Her and her friends, including her father would make sure everyday I remembered that I was worth less than nothing. They have made my life a living hell. Then when I finally have a glimpse of hope. That I found my mate who would finally love me and take me away from the pain. You fucking reject me." She cries out a little more.

Oh my god. I never knew that....

"You have hurt our mate! You better fix this now before I take over!" My wolf yells at me.

"Elona..." I begin but she stops me.

"Save it! Just take me home. This was a mistake and I...." She started and what I did next was of course bold and brave and I expected her to punch me, but she never did.

I grabbed her face and smashed my lips onto hers and although she tried pushing me away a little at first, she finally stopped and I felt her grab on to the back of my hair as we both began deepening the kiss.

Then as we pull apart to catch our breaths, I begin to talk to her.

"I am so sorry. I swear that I never knew any of that and I know that I was a coward before but, I promise you that I came here for you and I just want one more chance." I tell her.

"I don't know if I can. Besides, if you aren't here for my cousin really, then what were you guys discussing?" She asks.

I sit back and debate if I should tell her or not. Then again, she could trust me after I tell her.

"It was my father's idea. He wanted me to create a fake alliance with her and make both her uncle and her believe that we will have them join us because nobody wants anything to do with them." I explain.

"Oh." She says.

"But I promise that the main reason I came back here was more for you. I want to win you back and am willing to do whatever it takes." I tell her while looking back into her eyes.

She looks at the movie for a few moments and I just sit back in my seat and look out the window trying hard not to show how hurt I feel, even though I deserve it.

"Okay." I hear her tell me.

"Okay what?" I asked wanting to make sure we were agreeing to the same thing.

"I guess I can let you TRY to make it up to me. But I promise that if you ever hurt me again or if this is all some part of some sick game, I will kill you slowly and painfully while you hear me reject you." She says.

Damn my girl is feisty, that's hot as fuck.

"Deal." I tell her.

"It's not a deal until you give me some of your licorice." She says in a serious tone. Then when I look at her I see her smile a little.

I chuckle a little to myself before giving her some licorice.

I truly don't want to blow this chance and don't plan to. However, I still have her cousin I need to deal with and this might not be too bad because we aren't staying at the house anymore.

Now, I also need to find out EXACTLY what all her cousin and uncle have done to her and then try and figure out in how to punish her cousin and uncle for what all they did.

So much to do and so little time......
