Beacon Of Light

The chilly air sends chills down Baekhyun's spine as he walks the streets of Lyon. The sweat clinging to his body as he makes his way through the darkness. The city was empty at this time of hour in the night. Not a single soul walking about. He stuffs his hands in his leather jacket trying to keep warm, the wind blowing right through him. He looks around him observing the beauty of the city, the buildings lights flickering in the darkness. Streetlights flicker as Baekhyun walks under them flickering to life as sparks explode before plummeting into total darkness. A cold chill runs down his spine chilling him to the bone, stopping him in his path. He looks around him to see more lights flickering about before exploding glass shattering in the process making him shield his face. Shards of glass lie sprawled out everywhere the glass crunching under his feet as he sprints away.

Baekhyun runs down the roads lights still continuing to flicker and explode, his heart pounding as his feet pad against the street as he glides down narrow pathways. He looks all around him his eyes full of fear as he accidentally bumps into walls running away from what startled him. His eyes still had yet to adjust to the sudden darkness as the city of Lyon plummeted into total darkness. Baekhyun could feel the presence of something chasing after him telling him to run faster. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of his heavy breathing and his feet padding against the cement the echoing sounds getting louder. Beads of sweat lingered around his face as he ran faster than his body could handle as he narrowly missed a wall. Baekhyun could feel his power surge through him as he sent out a signal to his friends hoping they would receive it. The lights were like beacons, small sparks lighting up the air as he ran deeper into the city. His palms glowed a white color as he ran down the narrow streets that were close to the church. The only light noticeable in the blackness of the night.

His heart pounded with the beat of his running pushing his body harder. His lungs ached with every breath he took knowing his body was near the breaking point. But someone was behind him, chasing him he could sense they were close not letting up any. He risked a glance behind him seeing a silhouette from the light eliminating from his palms the only given source of light. Fear ran through Baekhyun as he seen a shadow of something or rather someone not too far behind a hand outstretched towards him it's pale fingers grasping at empty air.

Corner after corner he tried losing the person, but the person was hot on his heels closing the distance. Baekhyun halted to a stop as he came to a dead end, being blocked by the churches gates. He shook the gate hoping it would open but to no avail. He cursed under his breath knowing he was trapped. He turned around seeing the shadow narrowing closer on him along with one following soon after. With one more last effort he tried sending out a signal using the last of his energy. Having already used up all his energy from running. He panted fear rising as he realized he was cornered with nowhere to run nor hide. He had been caught. And there is nothing he could do about it.

Both people stopped in front of Baekhyun making sure he couldn't escape boxing him in. They wore black clothing that blended well with the night's darkness making them nearly camouflage. As Baekhyun got a better look at them his fear only worsened as it was an Eye of Red Force. Another came out of the shadows the moonlight eliminating his pale slender features his arms crossed.

Upon analyzing the situation Baekhyun thought that he must be the leader of this group. The two shorter ones smirked but didn't say a word. Baekhyun remained quiet trying to catch his breath. "We've been tracking you for a while now Baekhyun. Must I say that we were trying to find the right time to get you when you were alone and it looks like today is your lucky day. And it looks like your friends are a no show". He smirked stepping closer. Baekhyun could feel the heat radiating off of him as the sweat dripped down his face. "What do you want from me?" He asked his tone oddly steady considering the fear he felt.

The Red Force was not something to be messed with. They were extremely powerful and evil lurked within them sometimes without them even knowing. Baekhyun gulped as the guy stepped closer closing the proximity between them. The guys smirk was anything but friendly as he eyed Baekhyun. "What do I want? Oh, I want nothing to do with you. But the Red Force does and you're gonna help us get it". The guy smirked evilly his red eye glowing in the dark. Baekhyun eyed the others as they took a step closer, closing in on him.

Baekhyun shut his fists as tight as he could ready to throw a punch if he had to, his knuckles turning white. "Not if I have something to say about it". Baekhyun fought back his voice steady despite his exhaustion. One of the shorter ones laughed as he glanced at Baekhyun. "He's got the temper like they said". The shorter one said. Baekhyun grinds his teeth together fighting back what he really wanted to say.

"Let's get this over with we're running out of time". The leader said glancing at his watch. "Get what over with? And how did you even find us on Earth?" Baekhyun asked his tone quivering some. Confusion and anger flashed through Baekhyun's eyes as he watched all three exchange looks. The leader sighed before glancing at Baekhyun who was fidgeting. "What we've been wanting to do for a long time now. But your friends kept getting in the way and jeopardizing the mission. Now that you're alone it will be easier than we thought. We can do this the hard way or the easy way. It's your choice Baekhyun". He bitterly said eyeing him.

Baekhyun swallowed the lump in his throat fear now getting the best of him. "Over my dead body". Baekhyun spat his fists down at his sides. The leader nodded that sinister smirk coming across his features.

The moon shone down on all four of them enveloping them in silver light. "Alright, you asked for it". He answered stepping a few feet back. In between the palms of his hands a glowing red light balanced in mid air as it slowly drew into a bigger ball. "Hold onto him. And don't let go". He stated glancing at his goons.

Baekhyun fought against the two men who held onto him so tightly that he could instantly feel the bruises forming. He could feel an invisible pull on his limbs as he could feel an invisible rope being tightened around him preventing him from moving or escaping. A yell of pain slipped past his parched lips as the rope got tighter. The red ball of energy slowly floated towards Baekhyun as the guy released it from his palms.

The red ball of energy attacked Baekhyun, his yells echoing in the night. He fought against the men who held him, but it was useless as they were stronger. A curdling scream escaped past his lips as he looked at his attackers feeling his energy slowly and painfully leave his body. Baekhyun could feel the energy draining from him as he watched as the red ball attacked him.

His hearing was muffled as he could barely hear what his attackers were saying. "Good that's good . . . It's almost done . . . Hold him tighter. . . Now with this in the Red Force's hand they will . . . just. . . A few more to go". Bits and pieces were all that he could hear. Baekhyun tried hanging on a bit longer his strength leaving him.

Through half lidded eyes he could barely make out their faces only shadows. Suddenly he felt the restraints on him loosen before he was slammed to the ground letting out a whimper. "Good we got what we came for. Come on we're gonna be late for the celebration". He faintly heard.

As his eyes slipped closed he saw a hue of colors before his world turned to black.
