Chapter Four

Kai safely teleported all his friends to safety except for Chanyeol and Sehun who had yet to contact them. Lay made a makeshift bed for Baekhyun to lie on. "Sorry this place is a dump but it's temporary until further notice". Kai lays Baekhyun on the makeshift bed before talking with the others.

All of them were on edge wondering how long they'll be on the run. Baekhyun still had yet to wake up and Sehun and Chanyeol had yet to contact them. They didn't know rather they were safe or not. All of them were exhausted but given that they were worried was enough to keep them awake and alert just in case. Lay kept watching Baekhyun to make sure his condition didn't change. He wasn't sure if he'd wake up given that he's showed no signs.

"How's Baekhyun doing any changes?" Suho asked sitting down next to Lay. Suho could tell he was close to tears. "No his condition is the same. I can't physically see what's wrong with him. I healed his bruises but I can't fix him. Have I missed something Suho?" Lay asked his tone unsteady. Lay was unsure of himself and his capabilities of healing his best friend. But Baekhyun's condition was unknown which worried him.

Suho put his hand on Lay's shoulder trying to comfort him. But the more Lay kept thinking the more tears fell. "Hey, he'll be okay. Even if you healed his bruises you still did your job. The Red Force must have done something that you can't see or heal him correctly. But we won't know until he wakes up and see what the aftermath may be. But you did what you could Lay. We'll just have to wait and see. He's gonna be fine Lay. I'll make sure of it". Suho took the crying boy in his arms trying to hush his sobs that echoed through the vacant house.

Listening to the leaders words Lay still doubted himself and his capabilities. Knowing that he couldn't fully heal his friend broke him even more. But the more Lay broke down so did the others. Suho the leader also felt broken for his smaller friend, holding his quivering body made him wish he could take his pain away. But being the leader he had to be strong. "Hey, it's not your fault. Baekhyun's going to be fine. I promise your capabilities of healing is amazing. It's not your fault Lay". Suho tried comforting Lay, but it was no use.

"H-How do you know? He may not be fine again". Lay sobbed. Suho felt like his heart had been ripped out. Seeing his friend that way hurt him. Suho sighed running a hand through Lay's black hair. "I don't know if he'll be fine. But praying is the only thing you can do. I can't promise he'll be fine, but I'm trying to think of ways to find help. I won't let harm come his way again". Suho said his tone sharp on the last few words.

The Red Force has already done enough damage on them, almost ruined them for testing trapping them in a confined building. Making them become lab rats. They were escapees of EXO Planet and found refuge on earth where they'd be safe. But now they have been found and running for their lives.

Suho looked down seeing that Lay had finally passed out due to exhaustion from crying. He ran a hand through his hair soothing Lay. "Hey, Kai any word yet from Sehun or Chanyeol?" Suho asked looking at Kai who was wide awake. Kai looked at his watch looking at the two dots indicating that they were vibrant. Kai shook his head. "No not yet. But their dots are still vibrant which is good". He said glancing at his watch.

Both Sehun and Chanyeol quickly hide under the brush completely hidden from the eye of Red Force. They weren't in the clear but as long as they didn't move they'd be okay. Sehun taps on his watch signaling Kai to come get them.

Kai and D.O were sitting outside on watch duty in case the Red Force came while the others slept. Both of them were worried for their friends who were left behind. But what could they do? Kai was interrupted when his watch beeped. Instantly he stood up.

"Sehun is reaching out for me. I'll be back soon. Watch the others". D.O nodded standing up. "Stay safe and bring our friends back". D.O whispered. Kai nodded before disappearing.

As Kai teleported to the location of where his friends were, it was eerie quiet. The only sound you could hear was his breathing. Kai looked around not seeing his friends. Suddenly a hand grabs his ankle causing him to jump startled. Both Chanyeol and Sehun step out of the brush. "Geez scare me why don't you". Kai said as he looked at the two.

"They just left but we need to get out of here". Chanyeol said shivering at the sudden temperature drop. Kai taped his screen finding the location before teleporting them. All around them they could feel the cold air and hues of colors. Softly they land on their feet by the abandoned cabin.

Upon arriving Chanyeol limped to where D.O was pacing. Kai grew worried as the older boy kept pacing pulling at his hair. "Hey, what's going on?" Kai asked breaking the boys pacing. This wasn't like D.O it was out of his character to panic.

D.O looked at his friends with worry and fear in his eyes.

"It's Baekhyun".
