Chapter Eleven

Baekhyun lies unconscious in his friend's arms as they don't know what to do. It had been a while since he had a panic attack and when he got them they were worse each time. The panic attacks would leave him both mentally and physically drained.

"Great this is just great". Suho stood up pulling at his hair. Xiumin stood up placing a comforting arm around him. "Hey, he'll be okay, Baekhyun will wake up when he's ready. Give him time. He just went through a traumatic experience. And each time we'll pick him back up. Baekhyun won't be the same, but we'll do our best to comfort him". Xiumin comforted Suho as he was freaking out.

Suho knew that panicking wasn't good or change what happened, but he was responsible for eight people and their well being. And so far he felt like he failed at being a leader, a protector of his fellow friends. A great leader would know how to handle things. But Suho had no one to lean on or ask for help. It was just him and the knowledge that their master told him. But one leader can break under pressure. Given that he was the leader people relied on him and expected high expectations, but he could only take so much. People that he was close to betrayed him, hurt him to the point he doubted himself as leader as it falls on his hands. His people on EXO Planet were counting on him to take care of their kids. But how was one supposed to when he doubted his capabilities of protecting his brothers. Two of his best friends got hurt and he couldn't do anything to protect them.

"Keep an eye on Baek. I'll be back. I'm just going to the look out". Suho glanced back at his friends before exiting the cabin. Xiumin wanted to go after him, but listened to what Suho said. Sehun stood up looking down at Baekhyun. "I'll go check on Suho". As Sehun was about to walk away he felt a hand on his wrist stopping him. He turned around facing Kai who looked worried.

"Suho, has a lot of responsibilities and a lot of it is weighing on him. He blames himself for what happened even if it was out of his control. Just take it easy with him. He wants to be alone". Kai explained as Sehun wanted to talk to Suho. "He always looks after me and makes sure that I'm okay all the time. It's only fair that I return the favor". Sehun said walking out no longer waiting for a reply. His friends knew that Sehun never showed his emotions, but when it came to Suho he softened.

Suho sat down on the clearing of the forest feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. He felt like he let his friends down knowing their safety lies in his hands. And two of his best friends already got injured due to the evil hands of the Red Force. They were relentless when it came to revenge and would stop at nothing to get what they wanted. And that was to take all nine of their powers away from them, strip them of their honor that they were born with.

The Red Force wanted to use their powers for evil and not the greater good like how all nine of them wanted. The nine of them wanted to make EXO Planet a better place, but the Red Force embraced it with darkness. It caused their powers to lose control no longer them controlling them. Such as Chanyeol who kept catching things on fire. All of them were victims of the Red Force, experiments that nearly made them monsters. But Lay healed them of becoming monsters, saving them from the unknown.

Suho was taken out of his thoughts when he heard someone sit beside him. Instantly he knew who it was. "You have so much on your plate Suho, why don't you let me help you take a load off?" Sehun asked wanting to help Suho. Suho sighed closing his eyes.

"It's too much for you to handle Sehun. You wouldn't want all the responsibility lying in your hands. As it is I failed at protecting you guys. And I don't want you to feel what I feel. You're too young to take all this in". Suho said doubting himself.

"You're a great leader Suho. Whenever something goes wrong you fix it or if someone needs you you're there. And while you may think you're a bad leader you're wrong. Look around you all of us support you. You've never once made a bad choice, you think of others before yourself. While I may be younger than you I'm still an adult. Why don't you let us take care of you for once". Sehun wanted to help Suho out by making his duties lighter.

Suho was surprised by how much Sehun grew up. It was heart warming to know he cared for his hyung. "While I do appreciate your nice offering but this was my duty as our master said. Your life lies in my hands and what happens. I don't want it to change you as it did me". Suho explained.

Baekhyun's eyes slowly fluttered open as he could hear the voices of his friends. He was confused as to why he felt like his chest was sore. "Hey, he's awake. How are you feeling now Baekhyun?" Chen asked kneeling down next to him. Worry was written all over Chen's features. Baekhyun wanted to speak, but no words came out. He no longer wanted to speak due to fear of breaking down. No matter what he vowed he wouldn't speak of what happened or talk. He was too riddled by fear that he'd be in their grasp again. But something else felt different about him, but he wasn't sure what. It was like an important piece was missing from him. Like a puzzle piece not completed by a piece missing.

Lay grabbed pen and paper to write on. "Here if you don't feel like talking write to us this way we can communicate". Lay said handing the pen and paper to Baekhyun.

Baekhyun: Can I have some water? Baekhyun wrote. Baekhyun handed the paper to Chen since he was closest. Chen read it before speaking. "Sure I'll get you some water. Need anything else?"

Baekhyun shook his head.

No, but I'm scared to death. I'm not okay or know how to be.
