Beacon Of Light Part Two

Baekhyun's friends paced back and forth as he was supposed to be home an hour and a half ago. Yet there was no sign of him. He wasn't answering any calls or texts from any of his friends which was nothing like his character. Chen who sat on the windowsill looked out at the night sky oblivious to the conversation around him. Suddenly silver beams of light shot towards the sky in tiny specks at first but then got bigger as they reached the sky. Chen jumped from his seat almost falling down. "Guys I think Baekhyun is calling out to us". Chen said looking at his friends who quieted down. They all crowded towards the window seeing sparks of light shooting towards the sky.

One by one they gasped the air thickening making them worried. When one called out a signal it was never a good sign. Suho was the first to reach the door slamming it open nearly knocking it off its hinges. As they looked up at the blanketed starry sky no sparks of light shone in the distance it was in utterly murky darkness. "What's going on? Didn't you guys see his distress signal". Chen asked looking up towards the sky.

"Clearly we all saw it, but why did his power of light suddenly go black?" Sehun asked the inevitable question everyone dreaded to ask. For a few moments they were all silent filling the answer in their heads. "There's only one way to find out. Kai, look at your watch and connect to Baekhyun's since we lost him. It should tell you his exact location if the signal is strong". The leader Suho said.

Kai immediately started tapping away at his watch a hologram popping up, lighting the area in a hue of greens. Very faintly they could see a silver dot on the screen blinking. But it was so faint that it was barely visible. They picked up their pace keeping an eye on the slow fading silver dot. "I recently updated your watches so we can communicate better. The dot represents your power and if your power is glowing really bright then your power is strong. But in this instance, Baekhyun's is weak and it's fading fast which means his body is weak resulting in his signal being weaker than the rest. And if his silver dot fades out then all communication is lost making it harder to find him". Suho replied his tone serious mixed with worry.

The whole city of Lyon was still plunged into darkness, the moon the only source of light. The air held an eerie feeling to it that made all of them stick closer together. Chanyeol was the first to break the heavy silence. "Make sure that you're ready to attack in case something comes out of the shadows. Don't let your defense down, otherwise it'll be a bad fight". Chanyeol spoke his tone not wavering. "You want to see some action tonight don't you Chanyeol". Chen replied nudging his taller friend.

Chanyeol shook his head a serious look appearing. "No, but we need to be on alert and I want to find Baekhyun". He said glancing at Baekhyun's fading dot, now barely noticeable to the human eye. "Suho, we're losing communication with Baekhyun". Panic mixed in Kai's voice as he looked at the now blank green screen. Suho cursed under his breath as he glanced over at the now blank screen realizing how bad the situation was.

As they neared the church, Lay felt something was wrong. He could sense that something horrible just happened. His face paled as the instinct grew stronger. His hands started to shake as he whispered under his breath. Sensing his odd behavior they knew something was up. Lay stood there in the street looking up at the church, the feeling stronger than before. "Hey, what's wrong Lay?" Xiumin asked standing next to his friend who was frozen.

Lay glanced at Xiumin then pointed towards the church. "It's here, something happened the feeling lead me here to this spot". Without waiting for a reply Lay takes off running across the street.

Corner after corner Lay ran as fast as he possibly could ignoring the burning of his muscles.  Distantly Lay could  see a dark figure lying on the ground unmoving. Upon seeing the familiarity of the leather jacket, Lay knew who exactly it was. "Baekhyun!" Lay yelled skirting to a halt beside Baekhyun.
