Chapter Forty One

Baekhyun could feel his body being pulled a hundred different directions as he could feel himself free falling. A breeze could be felt as he kept falling into this black abyss. He fell on something hard blinded by the lights all around him. As he looked around Baekhyun could see many versions of himself everywhere he turned. Mirrors aligned every wall to which there was no exit.

"There is only one way out subject 4. There is no exit. The only way out is to fight every duplicate. If you can't you won't go to the next round and have to start over. You have ninety minutes to complete this level. Your time starts now". A voice could be heard through a speaker.

Baekhyun looked around him conflicted on what to do. There were at least fifty of him. One against fifty isn't a fair fight. "What the hell is this?" He whispered looking at his clones. Suddenly a watch appeared on his right arm a clock ticking down till the ninety minutes is up.

His clones closed in on him making Baekhyun go in defense mode. A few at a time came at him as he flipped one over his shoulder making that clone disappear in a cloud of black smoke as he hit the ground. "One down forty nine to go". Baekhyun said as he punched one of his clones in the face. But in return hit Baekhyun in the stomach. Baekhyun went down clutching his stomach the pain intensifying. He stood up taking two out at a time the clones disappearing.

Baekhyun looked down at the watch noticing there was only twenty minutes left remaining. Hope started to diminished as he slowed down. The pain was so bad that it felt like someone was stabbing him. The only hope he had left was using his power. But he doubted that it would work.

He closed his eyes and raised his hand, a black orb balancing in the palm of his hand. As he opened his eyes he let the orb go to aim at his clones. Four went down disappearing. A glimmer of hope rose in Baekhyun as the numbers declined.

Only five left yet Baekhyun was losing his energy. The power surging through his veins was enough to weaken him.

Five people watched as Baekhyun defeated two more as he staggered to a halt. "Sir we need to get subject 4 out of there. His vitals are dropping". One spoke worriedly. The guy rose his hand up quieting the woman. "Not yet. He'll get this done in one go. He's stronger than we believe". He spoke as a smile came to his lips.

One last final attempt Baekhyun rose his hand up forming the orb of light throwing it at his last three clones before they all disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. Baekhyun collapsed completely exhausted and in pain as he defeated his clones. His body ached as he gasped to get air into his lungs.

"Congratulations subject 4 you passed phase two". The voice spoke that he had become to recognize. That was the last thing he heard before he blacked out.

"Subject 4's body is severely damaged that he won't be able to continue on to the next phase. I advise in waiting sir". The woman spoke as she observed Baekhyun's body. The guy shook his head anger in his eyes. "We'll see we just have a few more tests to run. Then we can continue as planned". The guy said as he paced. "But sir subject 4 isn't in stable condition to continue on. You'll be doing more harm than good. Even if he is the chosen one he needs to be in better health. What you did to him when you attacked him the first time you damaged something". The woman tried to reason.

The guy turns to face her anger getting the best of him. "What do you oppose I do put my greatest plan on hold? Subject 4 could be the key to everything. He could be the greatest leader of the Red Force if we continue as plan. Do you dare to stop me?" He threatened taking a step closer towards her. She sighed releasing a breath she didn't know she was holding. "All I'm saying is if you continue with your plan as is, there may never be a subject 4". She tried to get through to the man.

"Then it's a risk I'm willing to take". He said as he walked out of the room.

So Bsekhyun finally entered the realm of being tested. That concludes the end of chapter forty one. What was your favorite part? So part of the Red Force's plan is revealed.
