Chapter Seventeen

"We got that power, power through this music when we sing with one voice together".

Baekhyun who was observing his friends felt that something was wrong. Kai was paler than usual and Lay was falling asleep. While it wasn't to uncommon for Chanyeol's power to not work he realized it was due to the Red Force as a side effect of the dye that was given in their IV's.

Baekhyun brought out his pen and paper and started writing.

Let's stop for the day. Something isn't right with Chanyeol's power. And Lay is clearly not healed yet.

He handed the paper to D.O as he was watching Chanyeol struggle. D.O read it glancing over at Baekhyun who nodded. "Hey, Baekhyun says let's stop for the day. Clearly some of us aren't healed yet. We can practice together later". D.O spoke as everyone looked at him.

Suho agreed nodding his head. "Okay, let's head back. We'll work another day once we're all better". Suho said as he agreed with D.O. Lay was awoken by Sehun who nudged him. "We're leaving here in a minute". Sehun said as he stood up. Lay stood up once awake enough to move.

Once again Kai ignored the dizziness and kept on walking along with his friends. But the staggering didn't go unnoticed by Xiumin who happened to see it happen. Xiumin tapped D.O to grab his attention. D.O turned around seeing Xiumin looking concerned. "What's going on with Kai? He's acting strange and he's paler than usual. Have you seen him act weird besides not eating?" He asked as D.O looked at Kai who was once again quiet.

D.O nodded. "Yeah, when he wouldn't eat my cooking which he loves and the other was when he wanted to go back to sleep. What have you found in your observation?"

"He's staggering a lot and he's oddly quiet for someone who talks a lot. And when I went to wake him up he was sweating some like he's sick. But he hasn't said anything". Xiumin explained his observation. "Maybe he just doesn't want us to worry. I mean both Lay and Baekhyun are both injured, so maybe he's thinking we only worry for them. We'll keep an eye on him".

Kai's vision kept fading in and out as he saw black dots. He staggered off towards the embankment but was quickly grabbed by Chen who saw his stumble. "Whoa you okay Kai?" Chen asked still holding onto him. Kai shrugged off the hands and staggered forward. "I'm fine". He barely whispered. But Chen didn't believe him.

Kai staggered forwards nearly falling when Chen caught him. "Clearly you're not fine Kai. You can barely walk. Guys there's something wrong with Kai". Chen yelled to get their attention.

Sorry this is such a short chapter. My life right now has been pretty hectic and stress has been terrible on top of that. I truly apologize that the chapter lacked a lot. And sorry if it doesn't suit your standards. I appreciate all of the people who have read, commented and voted for this story. It truly means the world to me.
