Chapter Twenty One

"You've already fallen into the curiosity in my eyes".

Baekhyun looked out the bedroom window thinking of how he could get his power back. But every plan he came up with always had something go wrong with it. Sighing angrily he ran a hand through his hair. He could hear his friends talking down the hallway which he lost interest in looking outside. Instead he got up and slowly walked towards the voices.

When he entered the room all the voices stopped and looked at him. "I'll heat up your dinner. I made beef hot pot". D.O spoke. He knew it was one of Baekhyun's favorites. "There's no need. I'm not hungry. Thanks anyway hyung". Baekhyun thanked and took a seat beside Chanyeol. Chanyeol observed the boy noticing he was getting thinner. "You need to eat Baek. It's not good to stop eating. Please eat something you haven't ate since yesterday".  Chanyeol pleaded for him to eat. He knew Baekhyun was hurting inside, but to not eat won't solve anything. Baekhyun nodded. "Fine I'll eat. Where's Kai?" Baekhyun asked noticing they were down a member.

"Kai wasn't feeling well so I gave him medicine to feel better. He should be awake soon". Lay spoke up. He was the only one who knew the real reason why Kai was unwell. And it worries him to know what would happen to him if he used his power. "I had taken notice earlier that he was paler than usual. Is Kai gonna be okay?" Baekhyun asked. He knew he was prone to fevers. Lay nodded. "He should be fine just needs lots of rest. It's what's best for him". Lay explained.

Lay took note of the prominent dark circles under Baekhyun's eyes and felt at some point he was gonna fall ill of exhaustion. "Here is your dinner Baek. I'm gonna go check on Kai to make sure that he is okay. Eat up Baek". D.O said handing Baekhyun his dinner. "Thanks D.O it looks good". Baekhyun said as he twirled his chopsticks.

Baekhyun could feel the stares of his friends as he took the first bite. "What? Haven't you seen a guy eat before?" He asked irritation in his voice. Everyone looked away conversing with one another. Baekhyun ignored his friends as he continued eating. He wasn't in the mood to interact with anyone.

As D.O walked into Kai's room he could see that Kai was still asleep. He put his hand on his forehead frowning when retracting his hand away. Kai was warm to the touch which worried him. D.O walked quietly out of the room and towards the kitchen.

"I'm going to the store be back soon. Do you need anything?" Everyone shook their heads. "No, we're good". Chen replied. D.O nodded his head walking away.

While coming back from the store D.O could feel like there was someone watching him. He turned around not seeing anyone, but the feeling kept getting stronger. A cold chill ran down his spine as he could sense the air changing drastically. It almost felt like the air was filled with static electricity. It reminded him of the time Kai mentioned it when Baekhyun was attacked.

D.O was suddenly knocked off his feet when he felt an invisible force hit him. Breathless, D.O rolled over onto his side to see someone pop out of nowhere. The guy held him down as D.O struggled under his inhuman strength. "Don't struggle or else you'll make this worse for us. Where's the rest of them?" The guy warned. What confused D.O was that he wasn't the Red Force. He didn't have a red eye. "I'm not saying anything. I'm by myself. Get off of me!" D.O yelled finally breaking free from his grasp.

If he wasn't the Red Force then who was he? He wasn't human do to his super strength. D.O got up his body aching as he ran faster. The guy reappeared in front of him stopping D.O by another forceful shove. D.O landed on his back yelling out in pain. "What do you want from me?" He hissed in pain. The guy laughed walking closer. "I just want to know where the others are. Are you going to corporate?" He asked holding D.O down. D.O struggled pushing the guy off him, but realized he was much too stronger. "It's no use fighting me you weakling. I just need to know". He said pressing harder to hold him down. "I'm not telling you anything". D.O hissed getting pissed off.

"Fine then have it your way. If you want to play it hard then that's what I'll do. But I won't go easy on you". He threatened. D.O stood up on shaky legs hitting the guy with all his strength barely making him move. The guy laughed making D.O more angry. "Is that all you got?" He asked.

He threw D.O with such force that knocked him out in just one blow. The guy shook his head. "That was too easy. He's weak". He said to no one.

The guy took his phone out calling the first person on the list. "Hey, boss I found one but the plan failed. I'll find the others until then, I'll blend in with the people. I tested number 12 he seemed really weak. Alright I'll keep you posted". He hung up before walking away.
