Suho helped Lay walk mostly supporting his weight. D.O who was cooking stopped what he was doing and looked up. "Hey, you're awake. How are you feeling?" D.O asked concern for his friend. He took notice at how pale Lay was. "Been better". Lay whispered.
Suho helped him sit down and walked towards the fridge. "Do you need anything?" D.O asked stirring the soup. Lay shook his head. "No I'm good thanks though. How's Baekhyun doing?" Lay asked changing the subject.
The room suddenly went silent which Lay took notice of. "What happened? Is Baekhyun gonna be okay?" Lay asked fearing that something bad happened to him while he was out. He looked on at his friends as they all looked at each other.
"Baekhyun woke up from his coma, but there is something wrong. He has a tattoo that slowly keeps growing. Apparently the Red Force when they attacked him replaced his power with something else. And if that tattoo spreads to his heart. . . It can kill him. We had decided for now not to tell him. It would make his situation worse. But Xiumin may have found a way to help him". Suho explained as Lay looked worried.
"Where is he now?" Lay asked. "He's asleep at the moment. His condition is stable, but he said that he is transforming into something and he's scared much like the rest of us. Whatever he is becoming the process is painful for him. He said he wasn't sure how much he could withstand". Chanyeol replied.
Lay sighed shaking his head. Lay felt bad for not being able to heal him since it was the duty he was signed to. "What's Xiumin's idea of curing Baekhyun?" Lay asked looking towards Xiumin. "Well it's not necessarily a cure it's a serum to slow down the process of his transformation since he is changing faster than he realizes. That is if it works. There's no guarantee that it will, but it's worth trying. First thing tomorrow morning I'm going to town to get the supplies". Xiumin explained as he knew Lay didn't know anything.
Lay was skeptical of the idea, but had decided to give it a shot. "How long will it take to make?" Lay asked growing with curiosity. Xiumin shrugged. "I'm not sure it can take anywhere to a few days or weeks. It all depends on the effects and how Baekhyun handles it". Xiumin said as he wasn't sure himself. The homemade serum could have it's own side effects. Everyone reacts differently to it.
. . .
While everyone was sleeping Baekhyun could feel himself falling drifting off to sleep. But he was afraid to have yet another nightmare. His mind was tired yet he was fighting to stay awake. He opened his eyes letting his eyes adjust to the darkness. He sighed turning over to face the window the moonlight shining its beauty. "You awake Baekhyun?" Xiumin asked his voice groggy with sleep.
Baekhyun sighed rolling over to face Xiumin. "Yeah, I'm awake". He said quietly as to not wake Chanyeol up. "Having trouble sleeping again?" Xiumin stated worriedly. Xiumin knew that Baekhyun was the last one to fall asleep every night. "Yeah, I can't sleep. I'm afraid to sleep due to nightmares". Opening up wasn't easy to Baekhyun. He didn't really want to talk about the nightmares that haunted him. "Are you still having visions?" Xiumin asked worried of his answer. For a minute Baekhyun debated or not to tell his friend. He didn't want to worry him more than he already was. "All the time". Baekhyun decided to tell the truth.
"What are your visions like? What happens in those dreams?" Xiumin asked trying to find out more. Baekhyun turned over to face the ceiling not wanting to face his best friend. He didn't want to tell his friend that he was turning into a monster.
