2018 is just as much of a horribly tragic year for Ariana Grande. The ups and downs of her engagement with Pete and friendship with Selena. Hopefully, 2019 brings something different...
Ariana filmed a BBC special and then filmed a special with James Corden's "Late Late Show" that would be aired on Halloween. They went to a Halloween themed escape room.
"I love being scared. I think it's so much fun," Ariana told James as they drove around LA and arrived at the escape room.

In the final scene, a crawling man grabbed for their feet as they hurried out the door- and Ariana fell and injured her hand.
"That was traumatic," she told James as they got back into the car, showing off her now bandaged hand. "Honest to god, I'm not gonna lie- don't I look kinda hard?"

The week went by quickly and then the first week of November was already almost over with. Ariana was on twitter when she kept seeing a SNL promo video with Pete being retweeted.
'Pete asks musical guest, Maggie Rogers, who he barely knows if she wants to get engaged. "Hey Maggie, I'm Pete. You wanna get married?"
Maggie says "no" and Pete takes score saying "0 for 3" from his failed engagement's with Cazzie David and Ariana Grande.'
Ariana took to twitter to respond to the reference: 'for somebody who hates relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh'
Followed by: 'thank u, next' and 'hell naw tho'
Two days later, when Pete would be filming Saturday Night Live, Ariana released her first and album titled single, "Thank U, Next." Before midnight, it was already charting really well. Fans freaked out about the lyrics, but Ariana shared that they already heard it before it's release.
The Sweetener Era was coming to an end and the Thank U, Next Era was already here. The beginning of her fifth album was being teased.
Meanwhile, many news outlets have been reporting that Selena was finally out of rehab but still isn't ready to go back to work just yet. Ariana texted Selena and then sent her some flowers. Selena congratulated her on the new song.
