Toulouse and Myron sleeping on the rug by the side of her bed was the first thing Ariana noticed when she woke up. The second thing that caught her attention was Selena sleeping next to her. She looked fucking beautiful even snoring with her morning hair tangled up in mess and exhaustion all over her face. They went to bed late last night. Night one of Ariana's four shows in New York was done and tomorrow was night two before the Sweetener World Tour went back on the road. Ariana cherished the little time she got to spend at home with her dogs... and now Selena.

"Good afternoon, sleepy head." Ariana kept her voice low as she whispered and ran her hand down Selena's back in an attempt to help wake her up.

Selena groaned as a look of annoyance flashed across her face and she grumbled while rolling over and tugging the blankets closer to her body.

"Selena," Ariana kissed her lover's cheek and then straddled her from behind, supressing her laughter, "You told me not to let you sleep in last night. You made me promise."

One of Selena's eyes opened as she huffed, groaning, "What time is it?"

"It's... almost one in the afternoon."

"I changed my mind." Selena replied as she closed her eyes again and cuddled against the warmth of the blankets.

Ariana couldn't hold back her giggling as she got off of Selena and shook her head. She stretched while getting out of bed and started her day. She headed to the bathroom before making breakfast, well brunch, for both of them. She decided it was a eating-food-in-bed kind of day anyway. The sky was covered with dark clouds and the weather didn't resemble anything she's used to seeing in the middle of June.

They settled on Grey's Anatomy after watching a few episodes of The Office, Parks and Recreation, and The Haunting of Hill House. Ariana's netflix account played where she last left off, season 6 episode 23, "Sanctuary." Which happened to be the shooting episode. Selena hadn't really ever watched much of the show, but she was hooked on this episode a few minutes in.

"For most people, a hospital is a scary place. A hostile place. A place where bad things happen. Most people would prefer church. Or school. Or home. But I grew up here. While my mom was on rounds, I learned to read in the OR gallery. I played in the morgue. I colored with crayons on old ER charts. A hospital was my church. My school. My home. A hospital was my safe place. My sanctuary. I love it here. Correction: Loved it here."

The voice of Meredith Grey was all that could be heard in Ariana's bedroom. The two girls were cuddled up under the sheets where they started their day and planned to end their day. It was late in the afternoon and getting darker outside. The dogs laid on the rug by the side of the bed and walked in and out of the bedroom all day, not wanting to stray too far from Ariana.

"I already hate this old bitch," Selena commented, her eyes never leaving the tv screen, "He's looking for Derek."

"If you think you hate him now," Ariana kicked her bare legs around under her sheets, trying to get comfortable, "Just wait until the end of this episode."

Selena was engrossed in the show while Ariana felt herself starting to get sleepy while staring at the bright screen. She forced herself to stay awake when her phone buzzed loudly next to her. She rolled over and grabbed it. It was a text from a member of her team, "Idk if you've seen this, but baby drip and zay released a song about you. it's called ariana. lmfao listen!" She clicked on the Spotify link and turned up her sound.
