2018 is just as much of a horribly tragic year for Ariana Grande. The ups and downs of her engagement with Pete and friendship with Selena. Hopefully, 2019 brings something different...
Selena's feature with Julia Michaels was released. The song was titled "Anxiety." Meanwhile, Ariana was busy filming the music video for her latest single "7 Rings." She continued to tease the upcoming project on her instagram.

7 Rings debuted at number 1 on the Hot 100 becoming her second number 1 single. The only other female artists in history to do this were Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.

Selena was in Mexico celebrating a friend's engagement when Ariana's fifth album, "Thank U, Next" was released and trending online everywhere. While her and her friends partied it up, they listened to the album for the first time while dancing on the beach. Selena loved that the album was all Ariana and had no features.
As the night died down, and they were all back inside their vacation rental house, Selena texted Ariana, "Hey girl! Congrats on the album! Listened to every song with all my friends! We're obsessed with In My Head and Bloodline."
Ariana, back in New York celebrating the album's release at a restaraunt with her friends and family, replied to her text, "Tysm! It's still surreal! Can't believe it's out in the world now. Do you have a personal favorite?"
Selena thought for a moment before replying, "I love every song, but it's a tie between make up, bad idea, and needy right now."
Ariana grinned at the screen, unable to keep the smile off of her face, "glad you all like it. this one's real special to me. hopefully, you're down to come out & see me on tour."
"DEFINIETLY. YES. i'm gonna need to see NASA live!" Selena hoped it made the setlist because she wanted to hear it live.
They texted for awhile before Selena fell asleep and Ariana's phone died. Ariana and her family left the restaraunt around four in the morning. She was still giddy at how well everyone was loving the album.
