2018 is just as much of a horribly tragic year for Ariana Grande. The ups and downs of her engagement with Pete and friendship with Selena. Hopefully, 2019 brings something different...

She attended all of Ariana's Sweetener World Tour shows in Los Angeles in between her weekend headline shows for 2019 Coachella. She also attended a few red carpet events for the first time in a long time and would be promoting her new zombie movie, "The Dead Don't Die."

Ariana's performance at weekend two of Coachella was a lot more relaxed and laid back. She had less outfit changes, no problems with production, and basically the same setlist. She opened with Raindrops (An Angel Cried), God is a Woman, Bad Idea, Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored, R.E.M, Be Alright, Side To Side, Bang Bang, and 7 Rings.
She had the same interludes and same act 2 and act 3 with Love Me Harder/Breathin', Needy, Right There/Break Your Heart Right Back, NASA, The Light is Coming, and Into You. Act 4 started out with Dangerous Woman, Break Free, and then an unexpected guest came out on stage. Ariana reminded the audience that it wasn't planned, and put together last minute, as Justin Bieber came out and they performed a duet of his hit song, Sorry.
"I haven't been on stage in two years. I came out here, I had no idea I was going to be on stage tonight," Justin explained to the audience. Ariana confirmed, adding, "True story!"
"This is my first time on stage in two years. I had to get my groove back, I had to get my swag back." Justin told the crowd before giving a final hug to Ariana and exiting the stage.
Arichella, weekend two, ended with No Tears Left To Cry and Thank U, Next.
"Where's Selena?"
"She's not here, honey. I saw her leave in the middle of your performance. Something must've came up."
Joan Grande didn't notice the dissapointed look on her daughter's face and in her eyes as she informed her in the trailer after the show. It was nearing two in the morning and the team were all getting ready to leave for a successful ending to Coachella.
Joan was beyond proud of her daughter.
And her daughter's growing feelings for her fellow female friend wouldn't change that. Mother's know things and Joan knew it even before either of them realized it themselves.

Ariana won two awards at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. She took the title of Billboard Chart Achievement Award and Top Female Artist. She wished to be there, but couldn't due to her tour. A pre-recorded performance of 7 Rings from her Sweetener World Tour show in Vancouver was aired during the event.
She thanked everyone on twitter as usual: 'Happy @bbmas day everybody ! so wish we were there with u in person tonight. thank you @billboard for all of your endless support, love and for having us perform for u remotely from the sweetener world tour.'

Selena congratulated her in a text message. It was the first time she acknowledged Ariana since leaving in the middle of coachella a few days ago. She knew something was up with her, but didn't know what to say.
