Rai opened his eyes. He felt dizzy, his head throbbing mildly in pain, and he was stiff beyond belief. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on his surroundings. He heard noises, beeping, like the sound of a heart monitor, and he heard snoring. He once again opened his eyes to try and see if his vision was better. Thankfully it got better, and he could make out exactly where he was. He was in a hospital bed, his mother and sister on both sides of the bed laying down sound asleep. 'What happened to me? Why am I so sore and in the hospital?' he thought. He couldn't remember. He tried to remember the last thing he did, but when he tried, it triggered the pain in his head.
If anything, the only thing he could remember was waking up....for his first day of Junior High.

A day later and Rai was finally out of the hospital. He had been told what had happened to him that put him there in the first place. He was told was that he had been hit by a car trying to cross the sidewalk, not paying attention to see that it wasn't time for passengers to walk across. What could cause him to do something so stupid, he thought to himself. Well whatever it was, he was now paying for it. Due to this whole thing, he missed the rest of the weekend and he missed two days of school.
The sports festival was today as well, but because of his injuries still bothering him, it was decided that he opted out on that too. Not that he was complaining at all though. Since he couldn't remember all what happened, he figured it be best to rest another day before returning to school. Thankfully he was told everything concerning which school he went to and what grade he was in by his family, so there was no worry there. During his recovery time he mostly just slept, ate, and played his game station.
He couldn't use his phone to browse the web due to it being broken in the accident, so he would have to get a new one later. He also had watched the sport festival and saw all the events that took place. The fight between Uraraka and Bakugou, the one that he considered the most jaw dropping yet, Todoroki and Midoriya, and the final fight between Bakugou and Todoroki. "Those guys are monsters, Jesus."
"Aw don't be like that Rai, I'm pretty sure you could've wiped the floor with those guys." Sasha said. "Yeah right, they would scorch me if I went up against one of them." he replied. Little did he know he was close to being on par with the two students who were considered the best of class 1-A. Thanks to him only remembering being in junior high, he forgot all the training he had with his quirk. He just simply knew how to generate lightning and how much power to put in the voltage. How much else did he not remember? He could only ponder, his head still bothering him at the slightest indication of him trying to remember things. Later on in the afternoon he had heard the doorbell ring. Ms. Kusanagi had went to go see who it was.
"Rai, you have visitors! Come to the living room!" his mother said. He put his game on pause and went into the living room. He was greeted by Izuku and his mother. Rai was confused for a moment until he was reassured that him and Midoriya were friends since junior high. For awhile Rai was getting more clarification on what had happened from Izuku's perspective. From the day they met, to when they got into U.A. Izuku had told him everything, well almost everything. He left out the event that took place between him and Ashido because he didn't want to bring up the last thing that he witnessed for his friends sake.
"Whoa man, that's a lot to take in, I'm really glad I don't have to worry about remember that on my own. Thanks Midoriya." "Call me Izuku, you have since junior high, so you don't have to worry about honorifics with me." Izuku replied. After that, the day was pretty much normal, with Rai and Izuku playing video games and watching heroes work on the television. When Izuku and Inko were getting ready to leave, Izuku offered to come by early to walk with him to school. To which Rai accepted with no hesitation, he didn't want to be wondering around town looking like a tourist. With that, the Midoriyas left that evening and Rai went to bed early so he could be ready for tomorrow.
