Rai had woke up the next day feeling like he could take on the world. It was no surprise as to why he was feeling this way either. Yesterday, not only did he recover at least some of his memories, but he also started a romantic relationship with Mina. His head was swimming with nothing but positivity and she was the main part of that. It still surprised him that a beautiful girl like her actually fell for him. But then again he did lose his memories, so for all he knew, he probably did everything that was needed for her to fall for him.
While getting ready his sister and mother noticed his behavior had a slight change in it. He seemed more upbeat than usual and he was more awake than any other day. They asked what was the reason and he simply stated that he got some of his memory back. They both were very happy to hear the news. Of course he would like to tell them about Mina, but now wasn't the time because he didn't want to be late to the train station. A few minutes later and Rai was out the door. Before he left his mother informed him that she would be calling Gran Torino's place every once and a while to check on him. Ah, the love of a mother, sometimes embarrassing but never unwanted.

On his way to the train station class 1-A was told to meet up, he ran into Izuku and Uraraka. While heading there he asked where Iida might be. The two fell silent, which caused a look of confusion on Kusanagi. He was informed that Iida's older brother was attacked by the Hero Killer and Iida went to go see him during the sports festival. That situation was something Rai knew all too well.
Back when his father was alive, he, his mother, and sister had gotten called to the hospital many times because of the injuries he got while on the job. He was relieved to hear that Iida's brother wasn't killed, but the injuries he sustained during his encounter with the Hero Killer crippled him.
'If I see Iida, I'll be sure to talk to him.' Rai thought. He knew he probably shouldn't, but he felt like he should comfort Iida in his time of need. But he decided that he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it. But today was the day for his internship with Gran Torino along with Izuku and he was ready to get it started.
Being taught by the number one hero's mentor was something that anyone with the drive to be a hero wouldn't pass up. Him and Izuku discussed it more in private once they arrived at the train station.

"So dude, think we'll go fight villains or possibly do like some sort of old school martial arts movie training with buckets of water as weights?" Rai asked as he, Izuku and the half of class 1-A waited for everyone to arrive. "No, I doubt any of that. But it would be effective, in my case at least." Izuku responded. "Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask: Hows your hand holding up after your fight with Todoroki?
"Its alright now. Thankfully I didn't push myself too hard in that fight." Izuku responded.
Looking at the scars on his arm, Izuku clenched his fist. "If this internship's a step forward to controlling One for All, then I'm ready for whatever comes my way." "Heh, I'd expect no less from uncle Yagi's successor. And I'll be there every step of the way to help." Rai said, patting Izuku on his shoulder.
"Nagi!"
Rai quickly turned around behind him after hearing his nickname, only to suddenly be met with a big hug from his best friend/recently turned girlfriend, Mina.
"I missed you all last night. I was going to call you but then I remembered that your phone was damaged in the accident." She hugged him again and gave him a kiss on the cheek. This public display of affection caught him and the other students who arrived at the station off guard. While the class knew that Mina always teased him, they never once saw her kiss him in any kind of way up until their accidental kiss. The public display of her affection towards him caused him to give off a sheepish smile and chuckle while trying to hide his face from the others.
