Mina was feeling a little uneasy since her little accident with Rai. When he exited the class that day she blurted out that she wouldn't willingly kiss him, she felt like utter shit afterwards and not even the sports festival was able to get her mind off it.
When she got home she started to really lecture herself on her behavior in class that day. Why would she get that upset? She shouldn't have let her classmates get to her like that. And what of Rai? She saw the look in his face, his eyes had strangely lost their shine it seemed. She had seen him with that look many times and she never liked it when he had that look on his face. It made her want throw acid on whoever or whatever, tangible or not, made him upset.
She was starting to convince herself the she should submerge herself in her own acid this time, since him being upset was this time her fault. For the longest time she's known Rai, she thought of him as a very special person in her life. Kind-hearted, brave, strong, funny even when he doesn't know he is and down right cute when he had his moments of embarrassment. She really admired him and his attitude towards things and people.
She knew he had a little bit of a crush on her, but she wondered why he never said anything. That was one of the main reasons she decided to tease him from time to time. She wanted to see if he had the courage to try to make a move on her. But it never happened. There were the occasional teases from him but it never went pass that. She soon started to think that he only found her attractive and nothing more. She even went out with another guy when she thought she was right about his attraction towards her not being as strong as she thought. But then when the other guy started making advanced too quick for her liking she called it off. If he wasn't willing to wait until she was ready, he wasn't worth the hassle.
'Why can't more guys be like Nagi? Is it that bad to have a little patience?' she asked herself.
Rai wasn't like the guys who tried talking to her in the past. He wasn't concerned about how big her breast were or much she knew about sex or even if she was good at kissing. He was respectable and never once crossed the line with her when anything sexual was brought up. That was another reason on why she trusted him with sensitive topics like those. When the news about the peeping tom started to make its way around school grounds, Mina had saw how upset he got because of it. She asked him why he was so upset with the whole ordeal and she was surprised by his answer.
"Guys who peek on a girls without permission is something that always gets me. I'd rather a girl trust me with seeing her body than take matters into my own hands and lose that girl's trust in the process. Any guy who stoops that low needs to have a chastity belt for as long as they live. It gives the rest of us guys who do have respect for other girls a bad name."
She giggled at his answer and even asked why he didn't help her pick her swimming suit that one time at the mall. His response was that he wasn't sure if he gained her trust in that department yet and he didn't want to chance it. Honest as all get out and a sweetheart beyond belief. Any girl would be lucky to have him as their boyfriend, and any girl who passed him up was an idiot to the tenth degree. One time she asked him if he ever had a girlfriend or ever kissed a girl. He was a little uneasy with the sudden question and she could sense that, but he told her his reason.
After he told her a little bit about his old school life and how that affected his dating life, she got really furious. How could someone do that to such sweet guy? It got to the point where he had to calm her down and reassure her that he wasn't bothered by it anymore. It bothered her though. For a very kind soul like Rai to endure the endless bullying and rejection and act like it wasn't a big deal was infuriating to her. How she wished she was there with him for those times, but given her attitude she would've been expelled and had to transfer to another school if that were the case, thus leaving him to face the trouble by himself anyways.
