"So we've known each other for seven months, we've hung out many times, mostly at the mall, and you've made it your job to basically tease me whenever you have the chance?"

"Yep, yep, yep." Mina replied with her trademark grin.

Rai and Mina were sitting alone together at lunch so she could fill him in on their relationship. Their first time meeting, their nicknames for each other, etc. He was amazed at how many times she would tease him, be it in public or private. She told him about their first day of class and how that ended, he couldn't really do anything but sigh and shake his head. She even told him the times she kissed his cheek just to throw him off balance when his head was in the clouds.

"So I was basically putty in your hands, well that's good to know." he said.

"Aw don't be like that Nagi. I'll admit, you did get me back most of the times. There was this one time where you got me back after I made you lose a game on your phone." she replied.

"What did I do?" he asked. That's when he saw a sudden change in her.

"Well...you...flicked my horns." she answered, her face slightly blushing. "Thing is I told you a while back when we were getting to know each other that my horns were kinda sensitive. So you used that to your advantage."

"I see, and how many times have I done that, just to make sure I don't lose track. Maybe I'll make a little game out it, since you seem to have fun teasing me so much." he said grinning. 

Mina started blushing, it was very rare for her to be the one who got teased between the two of them. 

"Uh oh, I see someone's blushing, have I struck  a nerve?" Rai said, egging her on, trying his best not to laugh. Mina puffed her cheeks out in annoyance, but she knew this was him teasing her. 

"Aw look at your cheeks, so pink and squishy."  

He started squeezing her cheeks to the point where she couldn't take it anymore. He's the mouse and she's the cat in this little game she thought to herself. She grabbed his hands and placed them on her lap. This caused him to snicker. "If me teasing you is as rare as you say, then I'm going to make sure that I savor this moment." he said.

He was starting to get ahead of himself, and this is where she needed her power back. If this little session continued, or God forbid, they switch roles, she'll be the one that's putty. She wouldn't admit it, knowing full well it would cause him to go even further with his teasing, but she was enjoying it. More so than she thought. Seeing him smile, seeing him act like his old self, even with all his injuries and scars. Seeing him was something she didn't think would make her so happy. She held his hands tighter, nearly interlocking them with her's.

Rai, too focused on the funny aspect of the situation only caught on when he noticed her squeezing his hands. He was a bit confused until he looked at her, her expression calm, yet seemed like she was longing for something, or rather someone. For a moment it looked like the world stood still. Her yellow and black eyes staring into his sapphire blue eyes, both their hearts starting to beat faster as they continued to stare at each other. Then all of a sudden the bell rang for them to return to class. They snapped out of their trance and Mina, slowly and gently let go of his hands.  

"W-We should be heading back to class." Mina said nervously.

"Y-Yeah, we should." Rai replied.

"Today you all will be picking your hero names."

Everyone in the class was ecstatic, Rai included. Ever since he was little he figured what his hero name would be. From silly ones such as "Lightning Guy", to more simple ones like "Thunder Volt". Many names he came up with in the pass had popped up in his head. But he already had his hero name picked, long before this assignment was given.
