What Rai saw behind him was a girl who had pink skin, equally pink curly hair with horns sticking out, and black and yellow eyes that to him looked liked gem stones. His heart skipped a beat as he looked at this new face that came into his vision. "You've seemed to have dropped this when you reached for your money." She held up a very important item that Rai had held dear to his heart. It was a necklace giving to him by his father. Rai thanked the pink skinned girl, taking his necklace and putting it on. He had taken off the necklace a while back when he saw Izuku getting bullied again by Bakugou. He had forgotten to put it back on after he dealt with the hot heated douche.

"No problem dude, it looked very valuable and I couldn't let someone else take it from you." She said as she flash a big toothy smile. Rai immediately felt his chest tighten up and his face heat up. This girl had a contagious and pretty smile. Soon Rai found himself smiling at the girl. "Here you go kid" the cashier said as she handed Rai his change. He thanked the cashier and turned his attention back the girl. He remembered this feeling he had and sadly it brought back a really bad memory from his time in the west. The girl had noticed that his smile had faded and she looked puzzled. "Hey...you okay there?" she asked with a look of concern on her face.

Rai finally pushed the memory out his head and responded with forced smile. "Yeah, just got lost in thought, sorry about that. Hope I didn't have a silly look on my face." "No you didn't, its just that you looked a little worried about something." the girl replied.

Rai decided to change the subject so that he wouldn't linger on the memories. "Anyway, thanks again for reminding me about my necklace. This thing is really special to me." "Oh is it, how so? If you don't mind me asking that is." the girl asked. As they sat down Rai then explained to her that the necklace was his father's and he gave it to him when he moved to Japan. He left out the part about his father's death because it was still too painful to talk about. He was amazed with himself at how he didn't lose focus and started crying thinking about it. After he finished the short story the girl seemed satisfied. "That's really sweet, its nice to have things that keep you and your parents close." She once again flashed her smile and it made Rai's face heat up once again.

Just then the girl's phone had vibrated and she took it out her purse to check and see what was up. Rai sat there as the girl fiddled with her phone and then after a while, she made a sound of annoyance. "Is something the matter?" Rai asked. The girl looked at him and responded with a hard sigh. "My friends just texted me and told me that they couldn't come by to go shopping. They have to stay and help the school nurse. Maaaan and i really wanted to go to the mall today." "Oh man, sorry to hear that. I've never been to any of the malls here but judging by your disappointment they seem to be really cool." The girl eyes suddenly went wide, like she couldn't believe what had just came out of the boy's mouth. "Whoa whoa whoa, wait a second...you've never been to the any of the malls here?" she asked with a concerned look on her face. Rai had felt a little embarrassed admitting he never set foot in any of the malls in Japan.

The girl's confused looked had suddenly turned into a smirk, as she figured she still had a chance to do something besides home work for today. "Well then necklace guy, looks like I'll have to take the job of showing you the best mall here." she said as formed a big grin. Rai was shocked at what he was hearing right now. This girl who he just met had offered to show him around like it wasn't weird at all. "W-What? You sure about this, I mean we just met and we didn't even get each other's names. That doesn't seem a little weird to you?" he asked. She shook her head and jumped straight up out of her seat and spoke. "Come on, you'll love it, besides its a Friday, haven't you ever wanted to do something really fun on Fridays, plus you won't be going by yourself, you'll have a cute girl with you along the way." she said as she smiled.

That comment about her being cute made Rai's face light up for the third time, he felt as if he was coming down with something. Not wanting to be a stick in the mud, he accepted the pink girl's offer. "Cool, tell you what, since its still early and I won't have to worry about being home until super late tonight, how about we meet up back here after we change clothes. Deal?" she suggested. Rai didn't see a problem with that, as he really wanted to hurry up and get out this uniform that made him feel a little restricted. As they made their way out he offered to take her to her station, but she kindly declined to offer because her house was only a few blocks opposite of Rai's way home.

He understood and began to make his way to his house. But before he did, he asked her the question that he wanted to ask when he first got a look at her. "Oh hey, I almost forgot, what's your name?" She was already halfway down the street when he asked, but thankfully she did hear him and responded. "Its Mina...Mina Ashido!" He watched as she made her way down the street to the crosswalk. Mina Ashido was the girl's name, the girl who made his moving here to Japan all the more exciting. With that new knowledge, he made his way home with his food and a really big smile on his face.
