One Week Later…
As the bell start ringing, I hastily stand up and gather my things; I have to hurry up because this is the day that I will be able to ask him…

After picking up my shoulder bag, I immediately walk towards the door, when a person had blocked my way, frowning I looked up only to see a guy, this person is one of my classmate in two or three of my classes. Curious as to why he suddenly decided to just stand there and just continue to look at me irks me.
With an unhidden displeasure I asked him, “Why are your just standing there can’t you see that I’m in a hurry?!” really this person of all the time he could talk to me why now. Showing his pearly white teeth, he had arrogantly place one of his arms on the door frame, while his other hand is holding a bouquet of red roses. Still smiling he held them up towards my face.
“For you…” he said.
“Get out of the way!”, I firmly said.
“Cha Aim these roses are for you”, He said still maintaining his stance.
“And I don’t want them”, I will only accept it if its from Ai Pete.
“Please Cha Aim, I bought them because I want you to be my date at the Millennial Ball next week…”, he stated as he coughed, as students from different classes had now started to stick their neck out trying to know the details of our conversation.
“Listen here… I don’t want to be your date…No as in NO!’, after that I had pushed him away and break into a run, not bothering to look behind to check if that idiot had decided to chase me. After I got to the Music and Art Building, I walked towards the elevation only to see that it was under maintenance. I almost scream in frustration, why is it that all of the worlds was trying to hinder her today. Turning to my left I chose to take the stairs instead.
‘Cha Aim the Music Room is on the fifth floor you can do this’
‘Four floors left…’
‘Three floors left…’
‘Two more…’
‘Finally… one more’
I was about to continue running, when my vision caught something, on the corridor of the fourth floor, there was a girl and a boy talking near the window, I could vaguely see their face because of the sunlight, but a rash of familiarity hit me.
I don’t know what came over me, but I unknowingly took a step towards them, it only took a total of five steps to distinguish them.
I want to call his name but the girl’s voice struck me on the ground.
“Thank you…thank you…thank you… Ai Pete I can’t believe that you said yes…I really can’t believe it it’s a good things that I didn’t listen to my friend telling me that it’s impossible for you to agree, with all those rumors circling around the campus about you…don’t get me wrong I didn’t believe any of those the people who started them only want to defamed you…what do I do I’m so Happy right now”, the girls face was brimming with love and adoration as she continue to looks at Ai Pete.
“Why won’t I say Yes…it’s an honor to be asked by you” Ai Pete tilt his head as he smiled at her.
The girls gasp as she put a hand on her chest, looking like she was having trouble breathing. Seeing this Ai Pete took a step forward asking if the girl was okay. The girl could only continue to shake her head. She gulped a few times to stabilize her mind.
“No…No… I’m okay…I’m fine…that can’t be Ai Pete… actually It is an honor to be your Date on the ball”, she said in exasperation.
‘What did she said…just now…that girl…’
‘That can’t be right…’
‘That can’t be right…’
‘Ai Pete won’t do this…’
‘My Prince won’t do this…’
I tried to reason out, but my ears kept ringing instead with those words.
‘Actually it is an honor to be your Date on the ball’

I held my head as the insistent voice continues to echo within my mind, I grasp my aching chest.
I look at the scene...
I tried to see his face...
But he was smiling...
Not at me...
But with that disgusting girl...
Tears blurred my vision...
and everything…
Everything fades into black…
