Five months later...
"Where are you...?", Cha Aim was already frowning now, she had been waiting here at the school cafeteria for almost half an hour. They were supposed to meet here to have their lunch, but her friend was still nowhere to be found, thats why she decided to call her.
" Sorry Cha Aim, my professor asked me to bring our class' reports at her office and mind you its was so heavy, that I had tripped twice ...it's a good thing that Khuno had helped me out...don't worry we're on our way there, save our seats okay...bye bye na,", and with that the line went down.
Out of all the words that Daili had said it was that one word that made her heart jump out. 'Khuno', it was Daili's endearment to Ai Pete, her prince. She had also wanted to call him that, when she had first known that her friend was also the best friend of the person she had fell in love with.
It was a good coincidence, like they were fated to meet and that made her happy.
So even if she doesn't like having to wait for someone...
She did...
Just for him...
Just for him...
...........................................................................
"Cha Aim...sorry it took us so long...", Daili whined as soon as she sat next to her hugging her. She tried not to pushed her away because her prince was just in front of them looking at them with smiling. Thus, she coughed signalling to her friend that it was embarrassing.
Daili pouted and turned her head to her childhood friend, "Cha Aim, khuno doesn't mind me being like this he's used to it hahaha", her friend let out a childish snicker as she picked up sliced of pizza and brought it to her mouth. As Daili was busy munching her 'Lunch', Cha Aim tried to start a topic with her prince.
"By the way Ai Pete, I heard from Daili that you also like to paint aside from playing the piano...", she stated trying to make it look like, she wasn't too much interested on it. In these five months she had known him, she could only be able to meet him whenever Daili was around. This irritates her because she wants to spend time alone with him...just the two of them. But it was a known fact that it's hard to invite Ai Pete without Daili. It's as if Daili was always supposed to be there by his side...always...and it bothers her... She feels like...there something she doesn't know.
Smiling Pete nodded as he put down the glass of water on the table, looking at Daili then to her he answered," Yes it's just a hobby of mine... I'm not that good not like you... Daili said you're an artist yourself, she showed me one of your painting and it was amazing you are a great painter Cha Aim...", he shyly beamed at her, making her heart flutter.
Blinking Cha Aim could only feel the real sincerity on Ai Pete's words, it was one of his endearing traits, he could make you feel emotions just by the small things he do, the simple words he say and the way his eyes smile even before his reddish lips dies.
Just by being with him makes her feel so important.
So loved.
But what she hates the most is that...she wasn't alone... All the girls which had the luck to meet him had all fell for him.
And she doesn't like that not one bit.
It frustrated her.
It irkes her.
She just want to...
Hide him...
Hide him away...
...........................................................................
Another month passed by...
Cha Aim was hastening her pace towards the Arts Room, she had just gotten off from her last class for the day. It had been three days now that she had been going on the said room. As she continued to walk she felt the buzzing of her phone, looking at the screen she accepted the call.
"What is it Daili...?", she asked.
"Cha Aim you sound like you missed me hehe", said the lively voice on the other line.
Rolling her eyes, "We're okay, Ai Pete and I...that is, and for goodness sake its just three days Daili...", she reminded her.
"But...but...three days feels like a whole three years Cha Aim... I miss my bestest friends...", Daili said.
"Stop whining you'll be here in just two days, and its not like you're gonna stay there forever, its just a vacation", yes Daili her friend is with her family having a vacation in Hawaii, its a celebration of her parents 25 years of marriage, and they decided to spend it with her.
"Yes yes two more days and us three will be together again... Its just that I'm worried about Khuno you see...", Daili's voice became serious all of a sudden that it made her halt.
"Daili...",she uttered.
"I don't know where that rumors came from but its being a burden to our friend Cha Aim...please stay by his side... I'm worried..."
"You think too much... Don't worry I wont leave him...ever...so just...enjoy your vacation okay... I gotta go Daili...take care there bye...", she didn't wait for her friend to answered back as she turned off her phone.
She momentarily stopped as she fix her hair, she drew out a deep breathe and opened the door. And there she saw her prince.
"What are you painting Ai Pete?", Cha Aim asked as she entered the room, walking towards Ai Pete, who was busy painting something near the window.
"Hmmmm....", Ai Pete hummed as he looked up towards her she can't help but smile at him.
"I was looking for inspiration when I had stumbled upon it, and it was something that goes like this...", Ai Pete pulled down his brush and once again looked at the canvass in front of him.
If a bird fell in love with a fish,
where would they live?
Who keeps his fins
and
who loses his wings? (1)
"That's so... -", Cha Aim tried to answer but no words came out.
"So...sad and tragic...they fell in love with the wrong one...afterall they're of different species...they could never be together..." it was Ai Pete who said these words.
Contemplating Cha Aim smiled and gently patted Ai Pete's soft black hair, she glanced at the said painting.
And she...
She had an epiphany...
