Chapter 6.3 Love, Jealousy & Rumors

Ae's POV

I'm happy but at the same time annoyed. We were driving our way to CICCADA an italian restaurant owned by my family, it was located just at the center of one of the famous shopping district here at Bangkok.

Turning slightly at Ai Pete, I could feel that he wants to say something but was having second thoughts about it. I sighed remembering Pond's lectures on how to make Ai Pete, feel comfortable with me and my 'advances',nodding I maneuver the car at the side of the road just a few blocks before we reach the restaurant.

"Ai Pete is there something you want to say?", I gently asked.

Gentleness was the term which my Nosy cousin Pond said included to his so called master list of Courting Ai Koon Chai. Yeah you heard it right Ai Koon Chai, it was the only perfect term that I could only described and would always belong to Ai Pete.

"Tell me na...", I urged him.

"Ae...are you mad at me..?", he said not daring to meet my eyes.

"Why do you say that Ai Pete?", I asked confused.

"Sorry... I'm... I'm just thinking too much", he stuttered as he played the strap of his bag. I had noticed it before, that whenever Ai Pete was shy, embarass or in a situation he was uncomfortable with, he would unconsciously play either the hem of his clothes and now the strap of his bag, its one of his habbit, that I find quite amusing really.

"No no no...its okay you can tell me anything and I wont get mad at you", Not you Ai Pete... except you.

I gently placed both my hands on his soft cheeks, guiding them towards me. I could see both his eyes widening staring at me.

"Ae..." he softly exclaimed.

"Ai Pete....",saying his name with this kind of outmost gentleness that even I didn't know I could mustered.

You see my Dear Ai Koon Chai...

I can change myself...

"Ae... Don't you like it when I called you brother...I noticed that whenever I do, you have a frown on your face...thats why...", he asked.

I want to say yes, but I have to concede right now, I have to make you comfortable and familiar with me before I could properly court you, so if you want me to be your brother then I will...for now.

I smiled and can't help but ruffled your soft and  flowered scented hair.

"If you want to call me brother then do so Ai Pete...you are the only one that I would give this right to... If it makes you happy...", then I am happy

"Ae...", if I could put into words your expression right now...it could only be...

"I'm really...really happy right now Ae... ", smilling like that... is really illegal...Ai Koon Chai.

"What do you wanna eat Ai Pete?", I asked as we both scanned the menu the waiter gave us.

"Hmmm... I want to try their steak...",he said enthusiatically.

"Then steak it is...you will love it Ai Pete...its a family long recipe", I bragged as I gave our orders to the waiter strictly reminding them to only give the best service to us, I dont wanna embarass myself in front of my special person.

"Family long...?", Pete said confusely.

"I forgot to tell you that my family owned this restaurant this is the main branch...", I explained to him pointing to the large painting on the wall, it was the painting of my ancestors who build our family empire.

"Ow thats amazing Ae...now I really wanna try your family's steak", giving an expentant smile he looked at me, I was about to say something when...

"Pond...?!", Pete said looking passed me and waving his arms.

I felt my eyes twitched as I slowly turned at my back. And there I saw that fucking bastard with his teasing smile.

Oh Pond I could kill you right now...

"Fancy seeing you here Pete...and my beloved Cousin...",

"Bastard Pond...what are you doin here", I asked gritting my teeth.

"That's a funny question Ae Shorty... Of course I was busy managing our family's restaurant that's what a commendable young master such as I would do...", Pond said laughing as he pulled the chair between me and Ai Pete.

"Funny...thats the first time I heard that joke of yours Nosy Pond", I can't helped but glared at him, he was basically teasing me at my very first date with my Ai Koon Chai.

"Hahahaha...dont worry I just wanna welcome Pete being our guest",taking a hint and turning to Pete, Pond continued, "How do you find our restaurant its one of the oldest establishment here in Bangkok?"

"Oh I find it very eccentric and the ambiance is so lovely...and I'm sure that the food with be mouthwatering...thank you.", Pete answered gently the lashes of his eyes slightly fluttering as he talks.

I find it mesmerizing...

"How about you cousin...",

"Its mesmerizing...",I can't helped but utter.

His cousin Pond, could only shaked his head and sighed.

"May I be excused before the food comes... I'll just go the the comfort room", Pete said as he stood up, putting his napkin on the table.

"its okay", I nodded

Pete had only took a few steps when he bumped into someone.

"Ai Pete....!?",

"Cha Aim..."
