This chapter is about 'the I-Island incident', which occurred in the bnha movie. If you haven't seen it, you can just skip this chapter. I don't write particularly descriptive, so it'll probably just confuse you if you haven't seen it.
Therefore; double update. Yay. I guess.
Thanks for understanding!
"You need me to go where?!", I asked. "You do realize I have a summer camp soon, right?"
"Stop your whining, (y/n)", my father said with a dead expression. "I-Expo isn't that long. Plus, you used to love going there."
"Yes, emphasis on the words used to", I retorted. "Back when all I cared about were the shining lights every single building there is covered with."
"(y/n)", my mother sternly said. "Mind your tone when speaking to your father."
I sighed.
"Yes, mother", I muttered. "I'm sorry, father."
"You're going", my father ordered. "Like every year, I received a ticket for the early access event, but I can't go. I'm too busy with work, so you'll be going in my stead."
"Can't mother go?"
"No, you know I don't like I-Expo", she answered.
I grunted in frustration. I didn't like I-Expo either. Last time I enjoyed it was with Toyoda, 6 years ago. I went one time after he died, but it wasn't the same. I hadn't gone since.
"Fine", I eventually said. "Can I at least bring someone with me?"
"No, and that's your own fault", my father answered. "When you said you didn't want to come anymore, I changed the number of tickets they would send each year from two to one. You're going on your own."
Unbelievable. Most parents have to prevent their 15-year-old from running off to some crazy event on their own. My parents are forcing me to go.
"Fine", I said. "When will I be leaving?"
"Tomorrow", my father said. "Don't forget your formal clothes for the party. I booked you a room in the most expensive hotel."
"Very well", I muttered. "Am I excused now?"
"Yes, you can go", my father said as he dismissively waved with his hand.
I abruptly turned around and went up to my room to start packing.
'I-Expo is fun' my ass. This will be pure torture. And I'm all on my own too.
I sighed.
I wish you were still here, Onii-chan.
I reluctantly started packing.
And so, I arrived on I-Island. It was pretty early, even for the early access event, and I had absolutely nothing to do.
Unbelievable. Father must really hate me. Not only does he force me to go to this wretched island, but he also puts me on the earliest fucking plane ever. Such a dickhead. Now I'll have even more time to kill. The party doesn't start until tonight... It's still morning!
I checked into my hotel and went up to my room. At least that was pretty. I put my luggage down and changed. Then I looked at the ticket my father gave me the day before.
Are you kidding me? I was allowed to bring someone with me. God fucking dammit, dad. Lying piece of shit.
I grunted in frustration and put the ticket down. Then I left my hotel room and went back outside.
