Chapter 55

Heads up, no update next week.

I'm almost out of chapters and I'm also going on a school trip to London so I can conveniently use that as an excuse.

The second day I got off school I did nothing but sleep. Bakugo woke up around nine 'o clock and waited for a few hours, but he didn't want to wake me and eventually went downstairs. He checked up on me every thirty minutes, but I was asleep every time.

I didn't wake up until dinnertime. I went downstairs where I took a shower, changed and brushed my teeth. Then I got myself some food and sat down with Todoroki.

I was initially planning to sit with Bakugo, but Kirishima, Ashido, Sero, and Kaminari were hanging around him and making a lot of noise. Usually I'd be happy to join them, but I was in the mood for something more quiet, since I was still feeling tired.

"Hey", I mumbled as I sat down. "How was school?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary", Todoroki coolly replied. "What about you? Are you all right?"

I smiled and nodded, glancing at the bracelet around Todoroki's wrist.

"Yeah, I'm okay", I answered. "I slept the entire day. I woke up an hour ago and freshened up for dinner."

"I see", Todoroki replied. "So are you going back to school tomorrow?"

"Yeah, Aizawa only gave me two days off", I answered. "Not that I mind. I think I should be good to go to school tomorrow."

"Well I'm glad you're feeling better", Todoroki said.

"Me too", I smiled. "I'm actually kind of starting to miss school."

"After two days?", Todoroki questioned.

"Technically it was longer than that", I pointed out. "I was in the hospital on Monday."

"That's true", Todoroki mumbled.

"But yeah, I want to go back tomorrow", I said. "Tomorrow's Thursday, which means I can skip English again. Plus I missed having lunch with you."

"I...", Todoroki mumbled as a slight brush rose to his cheeks. "I missed you too, (y/n)-chan."

I smiled at his adorable expression and continued eating dinner. I loved seeing Todoroki actually wear the bracelet I got him and I thought it really suited him.

"Hey, Sho-chan?", I began.

He stopped eating and looked at me.

"If you'd put an ice cube in your mouth and activate both of your quirks, would it melt or freeze?"

Todoroki opened his mouth like he was going to say something, but then he closed it again and averted his eyes. He furrowed his brows and scratched the back of his head.

"I... don't know", he eventually said.

I chuckled at his lost expression and covered his hand with mine.

"You look adorable trying to think of the answer", I smiled.

Todoroki heavily blushed and looked down.

"I do not", he murmured.

I chuckled again and squeezed his hand before retreating.

"I guess we'll never know", I playfully shrugged and I got up.

I patted Todoroki on top of his head before giving him a peck there.

"I'll see you tomorrow", I mumbled. "I'm gonna head to bed."
