Sike, I am updating because even when I'm on vacation I can't seem to stay off Wattpad.
I'll also be adding more of my own scenes from now on, going more into detail about classes and such. It's just so I don't go through the manga too quickly, lol. And I like to add my own things here and there.
Hope you're okay with that. Enjoy reading!
The following Monday I was at school again. I skipped English as usual to meet Tamaki in the training room.
"Hey", I greeted the indigo-haired boy.
"Hey", he answered.
"I ran into Fat Gum at the Billboard thing the other night", I said. "He asked me to say hi to you for him, so... Hi."
"That was you at the JP Hero Chart Presentation, huh?", Tamaki mumbled. "I thought so. I just wasn't sure."
I tilted my head to the side a bit.
"You recognized me?", I wondered out loud.
"Yeah, it's just... the hair", Tamaki answered while vaguely gesturing to his head.
I hummed in response and examined the boy in front of me. Then I realized something.
"Tamaki-kun, have you never wondered why I'm allowed to leave classes to come here?", I asked.
"Well...", Tamaki said. "They told us you needed to let out frustration or something."
"I'm here with you twice a week", I mumbled. "Does it seem like I need to let out a lot of frustration?"
"No, not really", Tamaki replied. "Most of the time it's like you're just here for fun."
"That's because I am", I answered with a small smirk. "Now, at least. When I first started coming I did have some issues, but it was never really frustration."
"Then what was it?", Tamaki hesitantly asked.
"A side effect of my quirk", I answered. "Death manipulation and manifestation gives you a connection to the dead. I could hear them in my head, whispering. It was really annoying and when they got loud I couldn't really function. But it got less when I used my quirk a lot, so I was allowed to leave classes to train."
"You say all that in the past tense...", Tamaki mumbled. "Are they gone now?"
"Yes, I learned how to block them out", I answered. "But I'm still allowed to leave classes as long as it doesn't affect my grades. It's a little deal I made with Aizawa-sensei."
"Interesting...", Tamaki mumbled to himself. "So you're really just here for fun?"
I nodded.
"When did you learn to block them out?"
"At the workplace experience internship", I answered.
"But then you've been coming here without reason for ages", Tamaki replied.
"It's not without reason", I immediately said. "I kept coming here because I like hanging around with you. And Mirio too, but I guess it's just us for now..."
"Yeah...", Tamaki mumbled. "Well I'm glad you've got control of those whispers now. They sound terrible."
He doesn't seem bothered by it whatsoever. Maybe I really did think too much of it...
"So what do you wanna do today?", I asked after a small silence.
"I don't know", Tamaki sighed.
