"(y/n)-chan!", my mother shouted from downstairs. "You have to wake up if you want to make it to the entrance exam!"

Shit.

I quickly got out of bed and got dressed. When I came downstairs my mother frowned at me.

"Are you sure you still want to do this exam?", she asked. "We could get you in through recommendations, you know?"

"I know, mother", I answered. "But I want to do the entrance exam."

"Well, alright", my mother hesitantly mumbled. "You should get going then. You can eat this on your way there."

I nodded and accepted the protein bar before I gave her a quick hug.

"I'll see you later, mother!", I yelled as I ran out the front door.

I made my way to U.A. High. It wasn't very far, so I decided to just walk. When I arrived, the school was brimming with students.

So many people. I really have to do my best if I want to make it through the entrance exam.

I took a deep breath and walked up to the entrance gate. There was a boy with broccoli colored hair in front of me, who tripped. I was about to help him when another girl did. I let out a small sigh of relief and kept walking. Once inside all the students gathered in a big hall, where Present Mic was waiting.

Present Mic... He looks shorter than I expected.

The hero started his speech, explaining that there would be different types of robot enemies that would give us points. I'd never fought robots before, but I thought it would be fine.

Just gotta take down as many as possible.

I had gotten a mixture of two quirks from my parents, which in my opinion weren't compatible at all. However, they were practical, and I was confident I could score pretty well.

After Present Mic's speech we had to make our way to our assigned battle centers. Everyone was gathered in front of the gate, but I just frowned at the size of the training field. It looked like an entire city.

All the other participants suddenly focused their attention on the broccoli haired boy and started whispering. I felt kinda sorry for him, but I didn't have time to lose focus.

"Okay, start!", Present Mic's voice suddenly sounded.

I looked at the gate, which was opening. All the other students hesitated, but I wanted to get in. There was no way I could get past them though.

I let out an irritated grunt before using part of my quirk; teleportation. I didn't pay attention to the other students or Present Mic's ongoing voice as I ran into the city. It didn't take me long to find the first robot.

My quirk didn't give me any kind of enhanced physical strength, but it gave me something else. Something quite dark, which a lot of people frowned upon. My quirk, other than teleportation, was using power from the dead. I never heard of anyone else with the same quirk, but my parents named it Fatality.

Basically I could absorb power from dead people and then emit it in different forms. It wasn't like temporarily getting dead people's quirks, but their strength. It was a very flexible quirk, since that strength could become nearly anything. I could emit it like a laser, or I could shape it and make it become solid. A quite annoying side effect was my connection to the dead, and my inability to close that connection. For as long as I could remember I could hear their whispers. Every second of every day. Some times louder than others, but always present.

I gathered some power and released it out of my palm like a blast, knocking a robot down in one go. Other people started to appear around me, so I ran on until I saw the next robot, knocking it down in the same way before anyone else could react. I heard explosions nearby, but I ignored it and kept looking for robots.
