Chapter 51

Holy fudgescicles the manga was updated a few days ago and I finally got to see my precious UA students again. Don't get me wrong, I love the villains too.
Anyways, I always write ahead and I'm currently working on chapter 57, which will follow the manga again.

Unfortunately I'm very much behind schedule because school started again. Summer vacation is over and I am now in my fourth year of high school, which apparently wishes to kill me already.

I watched in shock as Midoriya got launched towards the industrial structure where the joint training was currently being held. The black energy was pulsing around his entire body now, instead of just his arm.

I gasped when it seemed to explode, expanding further like lighting swirling around Midoriya. It reached very far now, and I was sure his teammates on the other side of the training field could also see it.

Shinso was visible on the screen, staring at Midoriya with what appeared to be shock. Then the black strings moved again, pulling Midoriya into the sky. They reached so far that his teammates had to dodge.

Midoriya was clearly in pain when the black tendrils latched onto the buildings around him, writhing around.

"Aizawa-kun! Vlad!", All Might said. "We should stop this! Something's wrong!"

The black energy around Midoriya started to spin, damaging the buildings around the green-haired boy. I involuntarily squeezed Bakugo's hand when I saw Uraraka weightlessly floating towards him.

What is she doing?! Izuku isn't doing very well, what if that black energy stuff attacks Ochaco?! Izuku will never forgive himself!

Uraraka grabbed onto Midoriya, holding him firmly. She said something to him, probably telling him to calm down and stop. Midoriya shook his head, still fighting to control the black tendrils raging around. Uraraka suddenly turned her head.

My eyes widened when I saw Shinso on the screen. Uraraka yelled something at him and for a second he tensed up. Then he lowered his mask and shouted something at Midoriya.

Now I wasn't very good at lipreading, but I could clearly see the indigo-haired boy saying 'let's fight again'.

I saw Midoriya struggling for a second. Then he responded by shouting an agreement. Immediately the black tendrils froze up, as did Midoriya himself. Then the tendrils started to retreat, disappearing into Midoriya's body again. Then they were gone.

He brainwashed him... Shinso brainwashed him! Thank god that stopped it... Izuku has some serious explaining to do when this is over!!

The broccoli boy was still frozen, but not brainwashed anymore. Uraraka shook his shoulders as she lowered both of them back to the ground.

I let out a breath of relief when I saw Midoriya talking to Uraraka, back to his normal self. Bakugo grunted something I couldn't make out under his breath.

Suddenly Monoma appeared behind Midoriya and Uraraka, using an enlarged bolt as a surfboard. He attacked Midoriya, pushing him back with a hit to the face. When Monoma wanted to advance again, Uraraka interfered and grabbed his wrist. However, she couldn't take him out because more enlarged objects came flying towards her.

Kodai, Shoda and Yanagi appeared on the scene, followed closely by Ashido and Mineta. It quickly turned into a melee when everyone engaged. Midoriya and Uraraka oversaw the situation from higher up, but Shinso and Monoma were nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly Midoriya turned around, grabbing onto a string of white cloth. I followed it with my eyes and it lead to Shinso, who grinned.

Aizawa decided that the match would continue, since Midoriya had control of his quirk again. It was a bit of a late reaction in my opinion, but okay.
