I shook my head in an attempt to regain my focus and quickly put my phone on silent before putting it away.
I don't have time to focus on anything other than the training right now. Get your head in the game, idiot.
I tried not to think about my exchange with Todoroki and turned back to Fat Gum, Tetsutetsu, Kirishima and Tamaki.
"Ready?", Fat Gum asked.
I nodded, forcing myself to let go of unnecessary thoughts.
"Alrighty", Fat Gum smiled. "Then, (y/n), stand in the middle of the hall over there. I want you to make a sand wall around yerself and solidify it. Tetsutetsu and Kirishima will try to break it in different places, and as soon as they break through I want you to fix it again. Try not to let 'em inside the wall."
I nodded and he came a little closer, leaning down and lowering his voice so only I would hear.
"Don't try too hard", he instructed. "This is a difficult task and I'm afraid they'll never get through if ya give it yer all. Training like this is their weak point and your strong point, the next one'll be the other way 'round."
I nodded and walked to the middle of the hall. I turned back to the others and waited for the start signal. Once Fat Gum gave it I absorbed some darkness and let it flow out of my palms to surround me. I shaped it into a wall that was just too tall to see over and let it solidify.
