Nova was confused as she walked alongside Newt, towards the medhut. She could've sworn Alby was still going through what she did when she got stung.

"What's going on?" Nova asked. "Did anything happen without my knowledge.

Newt nodded, "While you were at the homestead, Alby went a little crazy, and we had to give him this blue liquid that we can only guess could be a type of Grief Serum."

"How did you-" She got cut off.

"Teresa had some in her pocket, apparently." He explained further.

Nova nodded, understanding but yet confused at the same time. Everything was happening so fast and so out of order, she almost couldn't keep up. She just guessed it was due to the Changing. So, she tried not questioning it any further.

They both entered the medhut, where Teresa, Chuck, David and Thomas were. Her vibrations told her that Gally had already left, she didn't know why. Her only guess was to work some more. Maybe.

She sensed Alby's feet touching the ground, and his red particles were slouched over the bed. So Nova was sure that he was sitting on the very edge. But he seemed sad and traumatized. She had an idea on why, but at the same time, she didn't want to know.

Newt sat on the edge of the bed with the dark-skinned boy, "Alby, you alright?"

Alby shook his head, his voice hoarse. "I-I saw everything..." He stuttered.

He looked at everyone, "I saw Thomas, Teresa... and Nova."

Newt looked confused, "How?"

"Nova... How could you lie to us, for all these years? We were your friends..." Tears ran down Alby's face.

Newt stood up, and looked towards Thomas, Teresa and Nova. But mostly Nova.

Alby continued, "When I saw you, I didn't know your name... But, a woman in white clothing called you by a certain tag-line. Or something, I don't know what it was." He shook his head.

"What... what was it?" Nova dared to ask, in such a low whisper. She was scared to say the least.

"They called you... The Wicked..." Alby's voice cracked, almost as though he was scared to even say. Like if he said it, he'd be punished to a brutal death. But he already said it, so there was no going back now.

"The Wicked?" Nova questioned, confused. "What does that even mean?"

Alby looked up at Nova, "Your mother... why didn't you tell us who your mother was, Nova?"

"And Thomas," Alby looked at him next. "You were working with them, against us. How could you?"

"You too Teresa," Alby went for her next. "You worked alongside Thomas, as well..."

"Wait," Newt shook his head, not understanding. "What about Nova's mother?"

Nova began to silently hyperventilate, heart racing. She wanted to tell them, but she didn't think her time was limited. This is not how she wanted them to find out about it, she now regretted waiting for so long...

"The creator of the Maze, the creator of all of this..." Alby breathed, looking at Newt. "... that's Nova's mother..."

Everything was silent. The room full of nothing but utter shock and pain. And before anyone knew it, Newt barged out of the medhut, not believing anything Alby says right now.

"Newt..." Nova breathed, and ran outside after him. Leaving Thomas and Teresa to do who knows what, she didn't care at the moment. All she cared about right now, was Newt and how he felt towards her.

"Newt, wait!" She repeated, trying to keep up with his fast limping body.

Considering she was a Runner - or used to be - she ran faster than he could limp. She caught up to him, and stopped right in front of him.

She grabbed onto his arms and squeezed lightly, "Newt, I'm sorry."

He wasn't paying attention to her, "Look at me!" She hollered, hoping that no-one else heard that.

Newt looked down at her, listening. "Why didn't you tell us? Why didn't you tell me? You had those flashbacks, surely you knew!"

Nova tried so hard not to get angry at him, because she knew for a fact that she'd act the same exact way if it was the other way around.

"Why?" Newt pushed.

"Because I was scared!" Nova finally admitted.

And for once in a long time, tears welled up in her dead eyes. And she let them fall down her face. "I was scared."

Her chest heaved quickly, "There, I admitted it. Runners aren't supposed to be scared. But I'm scared Newt, is that what you wanted to hear?"

She let him go, "I'll say it to whatever is left in this world that we live in, right now, if you want."

She stepped back from him a few inches, and she looked to the blank sky. "I'M SCARED!" Nova screamed at the top of her lungs. "I'M A RUNNER, EVERYONE, AND I'M SCARED!" She reminded herself of Brenda in her flashbacks constantly telling Avery that she swore never to tell, and she broke her promise.

But right as she screamed out like that, a loud cracking sound erupted throughout the Glade. And both Newt and Nova covered their ears, in pain.

That's when Newt finally noticed, that the Maze walls never actually closed for the night like he thought they did...

"What the hell is going on?!" Gally yelled out in question, as he ran towards Nova and Newt.

Thomas, Teresa, David, Frypan and Winston made their way over. "What's all the commotion about?" Frypan asked.

"Its the walls," Newt answered. "They aren't closing."

Another cracking sound roared, and they all cowered with their hands over their ears. Including Nova. They looked around, to see every single Maze door open, from all angles of the Glade.

They never knew the Glade had more than one opening to the Maze... this was very new to all of them, even Thomas himself...

"What the hell?" Thomas muttered under his breath, he didn't understand what was happening.

"GRIEVERS!" Voices from the deadheads screamed in pure terror. Large monstrous shrieks accompanied those screams.
