Rhyan felt strange, like something important was ment to happen but she couldn't remember what. Rhyan shrugged it off. If it was important it'd come back to her.

Rhyan looked at herself in the mirror. Unlike most she was all too pleased to notice that she'd gained weight- almost enough to stop her ribs being too noticeable. Rhyan smiled, she'd gotten taller to. In her 9 and a half months of being at Camp Half blood she'd gotten much healthier.

Rhyan stopped smiling. 9 and a half months. It was crazy how long she'd been at the camp. But that ment she only had 14 and a half months left with her boys.

In her 9 and a half months of being at Camp Half Blood she'd made friends, aquantinces and an enemy. Her enemy was the whole of ares, but mainly Crash. She didn't know why but there was something about him that infuriated her to no end. They'd come to a mutual understanding.

Crash (and only crash) would pick on Rhyan, and Rhyan would put him in his place once every so often. But no matter what they always came together to insult Crash's siblings- not May, she was special- mainly Mark. However, by no means did she trust Crash.

"Come along Theft." Luke called to her. He'd been at camp about 5 months now and had already been claimed by Hermes, God of theives.

Rhyan wasn't jealous of him as such, but it was exactly that. She was jealous, not of the fact he knew who his father was. But because he knew where he belonged.

Rhyan entered the dining pavilion, got her usual tea and toast and waited. She got to the hearth in the centre and shut her eyes, chucking her whole two slices of unbuttered toast in.

'Sup Gods. I'm not sure what to say seeing as I've said most things before but meh. I'll be polite and say hello. Hi.'

Rhyan sat back down at her place at the hermes table. Something still didn't feel right. Several campers from other tables were staring at her.

She picked up her tea and walked over to where Oliver sat. The campers eyes had followed her. She got up and walked to the Apollo cabins table.
Something didn't feel right at all. All she knew was that she had to duck. Now.

An infuriated shout raged from where Rhyan was previously standing. She turned round. Now standing in front of her was a very angry, very cold custard covered Crash Moore.

"It's an improvement." Rhyan smiled walking over to Noah. "Morning sunshine. How's your day been so far?"

"Dull in comparison to yours." Noah smiled shoveling more cornflakes into his mouth.

"It's not my birthday!  Why am I covered in custard?!" Crash fumed.

"Birthday girl moved." Someone said. Crash narrowed his eyes at Rhyan, and cracked his knuckles.

"Birthday beats. How fun."

"It's not my-Wait." Rhyan looked at her watch. 17th June, 8:38.  "Oh. So it is, my bad." Rhyan took another sip of her tea before a look of pure confusion etched it's way onto her face. "How, in the name of the Gods, did you lot know when my Birthday is?"

Oliver looked down and shuffled nervously in his seat. About 80% of the campers were looking at him. He hated the attention.

".... it may have slipped out..." Rhyan smiled. Olli loved birthdays. Suddenly her forgetful feeling was gone. It must have been her birthday she'd forgotten.

"Thank the Gods you'd reminded me. I forgot."

An ares camper snickered. "It's not like it's anu-anal- anuanal- ugh.. yearly anyway. How thick can you get, right Crash?"

"Shut it." The camper shrunk back. Even under yellow custard Crash still looked mildly terrifying.

•~*~•~*~•~*~•~*~•

Seeing as it was Rhyan's birthday, she decided she could do whatever she wanted, so she did something she'd wanted to do for a long time- use her tonfa blades.

Although she had gotten them over 5 months ago, she hadn't yet used them. She'd talked about them to other campers, yet not a single one of them knew anything about welding them.

When Rhyan aproached him, Chiron was standing at the top of Half-Blood hill looking down over the residence of Camp Half Blood.

"Chiron." Rhyan called out making sure not to startle him. She'd had a horse jump on her foot, let alone a centaur and she'd like to keep it that way. "How much do you know about tonfa blades?"

Chiron looked down at her as she approached. "A bit more than most others."

"Wouldn't you be able to teach me? Please?" Rhyan looked up at him fiddling with her bracelet.

"Ah you chose Aculeus. The stinger... that blade hasn't seen battle in many  millennia." Rhyan nodded.

"Come along now child, although I may be a little rusty."

Rhyan trained with Chiron right up until lunch, then after that practiced alone until dark. She was now confident in many aspects of using the blade and knew many things about it, for example: unlike her original thought of two separate blades, the tonfa blades were one and conected at the handle to create a single harmonious and ballenced blade almost 1/4 of a meter taller than Rhyan. Also Rhyan learned that instead of being the originally defencive weapon she thought it was, it was actually an offencive one, relying manly on the user to evade attacks instead of deflect them.

•~*~•~*~•~*~•~*~•

Oliver and Noah watched silently from a near by tree as their friend ducked, and danced, and pranced, and pirouetted with blades. It was strange watching this side of Rhyan. She wasn't the clumsy, light and cheery person they knew. She was graceful, dark and deadly... and at peace with the world around her.

As the young girl moved, so did the blades - Flashes of silver and flesh in the distance- parts of her. Moving with such fluidity.

Then red.

A/N~ SORRY IT WAS SHORT I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO WRIGHT. Just realised I had caps lock on whoops.
