Kate's POV...

The darkness consumed me and I drowned in the misery that was now my life, I was already getting used to this misery and darkness that was consuming me whole , until I was brought back to consciousness by a cold drowning feeling as I was dipped into an ice-cold water

She’s awake!” I could barely hear the voice say

Get her to the chair, the boss would soon be here, “I heard another voice say

Where am I? I managed to say as I was feeling so exhausted

Why am I here? I asked again as I was placed on the chair

Can someone talk to me! I yelled as the feeling of anxiety and uncertainty took over me  

Would you shut it, little girl, “he said raising his hands hitting me really hard “the boss needs you that’s why you are here.

As the pain shot through me, I was too scared to think who this boss was and what he wanted with me

Was he going to killing me? Those negative thoughts scared the hell out of me

I needed to get out of here and fast before their so-called boss comes to do his deed

But it seem like I pissed off some gods up in the sky because the universe was definitely against me right now

"You must be the Kate smith, “ A middle-aged man with silver eyes said as he walked in

He didn’t look bad or intimating but the looks on the other men faces showed he was someone very important

Could he be the “BOSS” everyone was talking about here? “I asked myself

Hoped they treated you well? The silver-eyed man asked as he grabbed a chair taking a seat in front of me

Looking at him he looked so familiar, I could have sworn I had seen his face before

" I didn’t care about that right now all I wanted to do was to find a way out of here

Look, I don’t know who you are and I really don’t want know. just let me the fuck out of here, “I yelled in his face

Damn you are one little Feisty girl, he sure knows how to pick them,” he said laughing a bit

Look, darling,” he said tracing his finger over my cheeks which made me shiver in fear. I'm not going to hurt you little one, you are just a major piece in my big picture.

He has to come for you dear, and I'm very sure he definitely would never seen him so smiting like he is with you.

And to get you back, he has to come to an agreement with all my terms.

All that he had said left me more confused and scared for my life? Who is this person that was so smitten by me and was my only way out of here?

All these confusing feelings left me feeling so exhausted that all I wanted to do was to close my eye and be consumed by a peaceful darkness.

Zane’s POV.

After the moment I had with Kate in my car it was all I could think about, I wanted to believe all she had said and let her in, I wanted to forget she was ever with that ass head. But there were still those feelings of uncertainty that kept driving me mad

I didn’t want her to share in the darkness that my life, she doesn’t have to fight my demons with me. Keeping her away is the best thing for the both of us
She is better off without me, “I said to myself as I drove to the opposite direction of my school

I was sure I wasn’t in the mood for school right now, I needed to think. So I drove around in circles not knowing where to go as I didn’t want to go back home

I soon stopped at a convenience store, I needed a drink and maybe a smoke to cool my raging nerves, damn she always gets me this way

I got what I wanted sitting in my car listening to the Punks new releases and trying my best not to think about her

“Ugh”, It better not be Christian texting me, “I groaned

Looking at my phone, what I saw made my blood run hot and my eyes red with rage

“It can't be, he has her.

that’s not possible, I thought he was gone for good, I made sure of that.

What does he want now especially with her, if he dares to touch her I would definitely make him go permanently this time

“Son of a bitch, what the hell do you want now?  And why do you have her, if you dare do anything to her, it would be the last thing you ever do. You got that,” I texted him back 

Nice to hear from you too my boy, if you want your precious little thing then come and get her. She is at warehouse 43 I'm guessing you don’t need directions to get there. Just know the longer you take to get here the shorter she has to stay alive. “He texted back

Don’t you dare touch her would be there before you know it,” I texted back starting my car and driving off quickly

I needed to save her, I just have to get her out of there, she has nothing to do with any of this.

OMG, we knew Zane has his demons but we didn’t know it was this big
